Testing Multiple Manures for Nutrient Concentation
    #7896582 - 01/18/08 09:04 AM (16 years, 14 days ago)

I was wondering...

If someone had horse manure from multiple sources are there any methods or equipment to test the manure to see which is richer, less cut and higher in nutrients?

I had no luck researching N-P-K meters or digital soil testers. Would testing the PPM of poo water from 1 cup of each of those, strained, give an accurate representation of their relative content?

Thanks a lot!!  :bigjoint:

And open up my eyes, so i can see things as you do

 hehehe

I know they are not as important in mushroom compost but I WOULD like to know which manure is the best to use and thought it would be a good measure

Cool, I'm talking about testing local manures for adding to a compost bin...
