Hi all.
So, I was wondering, has anyone ever smoked pot, everyday, for years? I mean like for 13 years straight? Any health complications?

I see. Well I'm 32, been smoking everyday since I was 18. Never lost ambition, consumed not too much food, everything is cool. I was just concerned about all of the smoke and cancers. Problem is, I have no intention on stopping, ever! Maybe slow down a bit, ya know. I haven't come across anyone who has smoked so much for so long and has any health complications. So, 'tis why I asked .

I used to live with a 70 year old man who had been smoking mad amounts of weed and has everday for 50 years. I mean, this guy out smokes me any day. He just smokes all the time all day long, and had never taken a pill from a doctor once. His health is great and his mind is still extremely sharp.

i smoked for 16 years straight with only a two or three day break once a year or so due to shortage. my lungs are fucked up. i did smoke ciggarettes when i was younger too but the pot has really been sending me into panic situations where i can't get a satisfying breath. i do have asthma that i have always treated with pot, but now i am generally worse off with it than without. i wish i could just have it around for when i get an asthma attack, but i like the taste and high too much to conserve. life was also whizzing by so fast and now each day seems like two. i also recently found out i have emphysema and the herb simply is not good for that. i am pretty sure it was the pot that caused it. my lungs are hardening up and it's getting harder to breathe. i'm not saying this will happen to you, but it did to me. i'm pretty heathy too as far as what i eat, i'm an organic farmer. i also have something they called auto immune toxicity and my liver is way full of toxins. i also had a giant kidney stone the size of a large tic-tac but i doubt that wqas caused by the pot. tons of food and environmental allergies too. it fucking sucks so bad and it's scary.

Are you kidding me? WOW, Emphysema?! OH MY GOD, how could you tell? I didn't even think of that. Bless you, and stay as healthy as you can. You're not dying are you? I mean, eventually we all are, but is your life cut short now?

yeah, i feel like i'll probably live another ten years if i'm careful. i have a two year old son and a one year old daughter and i want to be there for them more than anything so that's basically why i quit otherwise i'd keep smoking till it was over. i am thinking about getting an oxygen tank for when i panic. it's the worst feeling ever to not get enough oxygen. first though i'm going to try intraveinous hydrogen peroxide given by a doctor to see if my lungs get cleaned out. i'm constantly coughing up black shit. i'm also 32 btw. i was also born cesarian which didn't allow the fluid to be squeezed out of my lungs. that's what naturopaths tell me. in hindsight, i would have smoked less and never any harsh herb. only good herb like the lemon fluff or northern lights.

i also bought the volcano vaporizer and it doesn't affect my lungs nearly as bad, but i'm used to about 10-15 big tasty bong rips every day. pipe and joint smoke makes my throat throb in pain. the vaporizer just doesn't give the head rush i'm used to. oh well, the head rush is probably killing brain cells anyway. my memory is sharp and my wit is still intact.

Ok, you're close to me in age, and in weed consumption years. Sometimes I wheeze and sometimes I cough, but the coughs are nowhere near severe. I've had my lungs listened to and Dr.s never complain. I do go hoarse a bit, and after working out, I wheeze and cough a very tiny bit. However, I don't get winded. I never get tired, and I don't cough anything, let alone black. I guess I should be warned, right? I'm sorry about your illness, and get better, fast .

I have never had any health issues from it. I do have some friends that are in their 50's and 60's who smoke. Sometimes they get a good hit and then cough and hack and wheeze something awful. Of course they are cig smokers as well. I don't smoke cigs.
If I ever get to where I cough and choke like them I'll stop.

sounds like you're doing ok then. i've known lots of old smokers and they seem ok too. i'm just all around fucked, but beware of any symptoms. i didn't pay attention till it was too late. seems sort of like the frog in the boiling pot analogy. now when i take a hit after not smoking i immediately feel worse and can't breathe as easy. then it takes a week to get my lungs feeling better.

i get a little better but i'm still fucked unless the h2o2 works. it's just much worse after i smoke. the auto immune toxicity shows up as constant headaches, allergies, and mood swings. i have taken the vega test and a biofeedback test. they told me that gluten is toxic to me and my immune system attacks it if i even drink a drop of beer or even a drop of soy sauce that has wheat in it. it's called celiac sprue. what happens is my intestinal lining sheds and i won't be able to digest anything and poop blood, lots of blood, enough to make me weak. when i was going through the diagnosis, they said the next step for my body would most likely be cancer. that's all under control now though. i just have to avoid evrything unless it says gluten free on it and even then i'm allergic to all forms of cane sugar too which is in almost everything. perfumes, colognes, essential oil fragrances, tobacco smoke, gasoline, diesel, and most pollens give me sinus problems and migraine headaches that make me want to rip my eyes out. going to the grocery store is hell. onions make my lymph nodes in my neck swell up for days and they're in everything too. i'm also allergic to nuts, dairy products, cauliflower, oranges, limes, msg, food coloring, plums, garbanzo beans, white potatoes and i'm sure i'm forgetting a few. not fun for me or my wife. i am not a hypochondriac though. i wish it was that simple. i have regained a tolerance for potatoes though thankfully. this all didn't start showing up till i was 24. i guess that was when the toxicity started to overflow and my liver couldn't deal with it all anymore. take care of your liver, it takes care of you until you abuse it too much. i have been doing a liver cleanse and it seems to work.

eating would be great but i don't digest food worth a shit. it takes me at least 2 grams of quality herb to get stoned which is a total waste. i'm starting to enjoy being sober too. i never thought that was possible. it's always been so boring not stoned. i miss the taste though.

actually its still hotly debated how harmful pot is alone... which is hard to figure out, as a lot of ppl that smoke weed also smoke tobacco, which is where the real harm comes from

I've thought about cooking up some mairjuana next time i get an 1/8 or 1/4.... problem is it's easy to fuck up and botch a whole 1/8th.
One time I cooked up a 1/4 in some oil and made brownies out of it.. they were strong as shit. A few months later I did it the EXACT same way and I didn't feel a thing.
I wonder what the best way is for cooking up a 1/4 that will make it have the LONGEST shelf life.
