Maybe you need to mist and fan more? What is your casing on your cakes?

WHat the heck are all of those holes in your FC? If those are all over the sides, I don't see how you can keep high humidity that the myc needs to fruit. Mist and fan. Also were the jars COMPLETELY colonized?

yeah but i see you are blocking the holes on the bottom defeating the purpose. those look dry and unhappy, did you roll them in dirt?

What's that humidity gauge reading? I've never done the RR method, but those holes look a little too big and are probably letting a lot of humidity escape. Try taping over all (or at least some) of the holes with some clear tape, then hand fan a few times a day.

uhm.. those holes are probably just to big. they look like 1/4 inch holes or bigger. you want 1/8th inch holes all over so that all your humidity doesn't escape... where is your hygrometer?
also... do not put polyfil in your fc. polyfill is for pillows and stuffed toys. try using some micro pore tape over those holes.. i bet you'll get much higher humidity.

those holes would have been fine if they were smaller.. like i said.. micro pore tape will probably fix the humidity issue.

I think everyone should ease up, the first reponses were not very insightful, he is not a newbie that just asked stupid questions, he has done his homework. If I got resonses like that I would be upset too.
I don't like the method of dunking and rolling on the first flush, next time don't, regardless of what others say. The first flush is the blue print for most pins and large mushrooms... Wet vermiculte can help induce pinning, but also blocks light, so it's a catch 22 for pinning, on first flush, don't...
Please feel free to disscuss or flame me
As people already said, mist more, block 50% of those holes with microspore. Good luck.

Polyfil works just fine, although with little holes like that you'd be stuffing them from now until next year.
