Do you have video card drivers that came with Windows or with your card?

Go to your manufacturer website and download updated drivers. 90% of the time that will give you more resolutions to choose from. 1280x1024 is a pretty decent resolution, though...

Also, some monitors don't work well with resolutions higher than 1280x1024.

I just use whatever came with my computer, I'm not sure who is the manufacturer of this monitor, it says METRO on top, where do I find the monitor details on my computer?

Thanks.

Not your monitor, your video card. Do this:

-Go to the screen where you change resolution (display properties->settings)
-Click the Advanced button
-Click on the Adapter tab

In the top box you should see the name of your video card. Bring that back here and I can link you to drivers

If those install okay and there are still limited resolutions, you're probably SOL.

Unless someone else can think of a fix.

I did a little more research on that card and it turns out there are many different chipsets. To get the proper drivers you would need to figure out what yours is.

You can try following this: http://forums.windrivers.com/archive/index.php/t-67323.html
