I get these once a month or more. Then again I have experienced some pretty screwed up things. I never dream but when I do it is one of these. I have something called lucid dreams which pretty much means that I can control every aspect of my dreams ex. what I say, What I do, The setting, The people involved and so on and so forth. Once in a while I cant control the dream and thats when I have a future dream. If you have any other questions be free to ask. I have experienced them for many years.

I had one about my grandfather falling from a tree stand. It happened, broke neck and back, 3 months later died.

I had three very significant dreams. The first one was that my dad had a heart attack and I saved him. That day he did have a heart attack and I did save him by using CPR because he was dead. The second one was that while I was sailing at camp a sudden storm would swoop in and a lighting bolt would hit my mast and almost kill me. That day that very thing happened. The third dream was about me getting hit by a car walking home from temple. That day I was struck and almost paralyzed. Luckily my leg took most of the impact. Coincidence no. Fate maybe. All im certain of is that there are things about our brain and how it reacts with time and space that we have yet to learn.

one night about a year ago i dreamt that i was at a party with close friends. or specifically i remember one of my sieblings there and another close friend of mine. we were talking to this girl that i barely know, but who used to hang out much with my brother and my friend who are more party oriented people than myself maybe. in the dream we were telling this girl that she had to cut down on the speed. i specifically remember that we kept repeating to her 'only on saturdays'.

half a week later my brother and my friend come visit me and my girlfriend. i told them about the dream and they said they had been having that conversation last saturday. i dont know if they had repeated 'only on saturdays' like i dreamt, but the dream happened the monday prior (could also have been after, not certain) so i found it neat that the line was included.

havent seen her since then since i live in another country for a while, but i hear she is doing fine now.

Sometimes I have dreams that come true.

Sometimes I have dreams that have messages in them.

Sometimes I just dream.

I used to have dreams every night that could be said to be about the next day or two. I found I couldn't interpret them and after awhile the novelty wore off and I stopped paying attention any longer. I felt though, that dreams would be like ripples, like after a pebble is thrown into water, so that many different analysis could still be correct. Patterns of upcoming events more than exact events.

I'm from New Orleans and the first time I noticed this was before Katrina. I had a dream that a cop pulled me over at a refuge camp and I was in a mobile home and he wouldn't give me the ticket so I couldn't go anywhere, and then I was watching two brunette newscasters on tv.

yes i got these while i was in the psych ward. and im still watching the future now the present play out. but i might have changed the course in some way that i am presently unsure of. well have to wait and see untiol later whether the rest come true or not. but i predicted tv commericals from the future colbert report gags, events. people and places i hadnt seen or met.

these prophetic dreams can be very dangerous be careful with this power. usually you have to desire or passively want to see those events. be careful.

`It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards,' the Queen remarked. --Lewis Caroll, Through the Looking Glass.

I tend to dream about events of the following day fairly often. I've had a recurring dream when I was little that only came true with the death of my grandmother twenty years later. I've never seen it in terms of power or magic. It's strange that our waking minds can only remember the past. Why can't we remember the future? Well, perhaps when the conditions are right, we can.

i can remember the future and then i can see events happen and understand the concequence of their actions but not really seem to prevent them. and then things will just seem to fit and it all eventually comes together to play out just as i saw. and it all fits rationally in the presenet moment that things could turn out that way.

A great way to "increase" these prophetic dreams, or basically what you are saying, tap into your lucid sleeping mind: When you are sleeping, if you get any feeling at all, like you are conscious that you are dreaming, focus on something very, very small, like your hands. Try to look at your hands, focus on them, get a hold on something concrete in this wishy washy dream world. When you have slight control, you can pick up on things..tap into energies of other beings whatnot. In turn be able to decipher what may be prophetic. There may be other prophecy like dreams you have about minute things that you are not even noticing.

ive had these before. They remind me of coincidences. You may be interested in "remote viewing."

I think its such a mind fuck sometimes when i think of something and i see or hear what im thinking of. Trippy shit.

Good point made by SHROOMJEW about us still having to understand the way our brains work with space and time.

Say you always dreamt about the future?

And all dreams, are the potential of the future..

But, we are many beings, and we all co-create, so only that which all agrees to, happens in this reality... Thus, when one dream, one might see the potential future, that might unfold, if all agrees to it, .. and it happens that way...

Say our entire reality was based on this?

Or just say I am crazy..

I'd go with both, ..and then some! :monkeydance:

My prophetic dreams never seem to mean anything...they tend predict seemingly insignificant events...i've scored the memories of these dreams and events that followed, and still havent found the reason behind them...maybe just to show me that this phenomenon can, in fact occur within my own mind??

Yeah, I always wondered about that. What do you think? Sometimes I would think I understood a dream and I would actualize it. That's something I read about in the famous book, "Creative Dreaming," is basically you work the dream into the reality fabric somehow. Then I think I started trying to ignore them and doing anything differently.

And then in Tibetan Buddhism there are dream traditions so ways of working with dreams, other peoples as well. So I never know. I always said to myself that I'm basically pretty dense so I need to have everything spelled out for me, so dreams were myself letting me know what I was in for.

I still want to grow wings and fuck some beautiful fairy in my dreams, upon some sweet smelling flower in a beam of sunlight or moonlight, biting her ear, hovering.... then relaxing together on a lily pad.

heheh sometimes i actualize my dreams in reality.. like i do the same thing in real life and see how close i can match it to the dream. different then prophetic dreaming, fun though. but i guess we're doing that all the time anyway.

i have mad prophetic dreams tho theres always fun puns in em like, in one dxm obe i was in a space tent but it was a techno party space staion which months later i was in a space tent for the first time while at a techno party. it was funny i imagined a space tent to be way cooler then it actually was and a festival where i had a cool flying contraption which in real life i just had a backpack full of drugs, and well another was before my first festival and i chilled with a bigfoot like dude and smoked and stuff, and then at the festival hippie people lol.

i dunno i find all of my dreams to be reality its just a matter of how colorful and playful i make the dream and what i purposly want to mis preceive for entertainment. others do this in the form of having a scary dream and many other types of dreams.

Humans in their natural state, are extremely psychic creatures.
We have just been cut off from the source for so long, many are out of touch with this reality.

I do not have visions often, but when they do occur in a dream i know exactly what they are but not what they mean.

A visionary dream for me is always has extremely clear images and emotions, bright colors and clear sounds. But it never tells the whole story, there is alot of symbolism or indirect hints.

Like a few days before 911 i had one of the clearest dreams i had ever had. It was almost as if i was there. I was 13 at the time and basically had no idea what New York was and what it looked like.
I had a dream that i was floating above this HUGE city, i started falling and began flying down this river that had concrete structures on either side. I kept going and going until i came to a split in the river and i saw a big part of the city on fire, covered in smoke.

I dont really care that i saw what was gonna happen, what really tripped me out was the fact i had a perfectly accurate view of this place i had never been and never seen. A few years later when i discovered google earth i decided to have a look at NY and was vision was scarily accurate.

My mum went to a psychic and she said i was extremely gifted but a really troubled person, a few months after saying that i got in some huge shit with the 5-0..

I have been dreaming about my ex-girl for a couple weeks now.. a few months back we were amazing together, couldn't separate us, and then a sudden turn of events and the relationship fell apart. The last time I seen her we got in a fight and haven't talked since...so I've been having these dreams almost every night of our reunion, seeing her face and smile, kissing her and just in general an abundant feeling of love...I have come to 2 conclusions: eiher A. I'm still not completely over her and when I sleep I project my own feelings that form into my dreams... or B: my dreams are 'prophetic' and one day we will re-unite just as I dream... hah, wishful thinking but I am glad my dreams are sweet and lovely vs angry or depressing.
