kitty finds my pot brownies

so.. my cat has this strange lust for human food. (besides this, she'll try to eat any food my roommate or i are making/eating)
i come into my room, and there are a bunch of papers on the floor that i had covering a bag of two pot brownies on my dresser. and my cat is on the floor, staring up at them. i assumed she knocked them off, so i put them back on and the next thing i know she jumped up there, knocked the papers off again and started chewing on the bag.. and i'm not sure if she was attracted to the smell of pot, or chocolate, or both. and she was very hard to pry away from them. i hid them from her now.
what would happen if she ate them? do cats get sick or die from chocolate? and how would i know if she was sick or just flipping out from being super stoned.
has anyone had their cats eat pot brownies before?
i don't think i'd ever let my cat get stoned, she's already insane as it is..

I had a friend that was growing pot and his cat LOVED to chew on the leaves. Cats love pot, I don't know about chocolate though, it might make them sick

i don't think chocolate is good for cats either...if she did eat some, definitely keep a watch after her, if she starts getting sick take her to the emergency vet and don't even mention that they were pot brownies, cause the thc probably won't be that horrible
it doesn't take too long for chocolate to start taking effect

Yeah dogs seem to hate it, but cats love it. I only know of a few cats that hate weed but it's probably just from the smoke.
If im lighting up a bowl, my cat always jumps on the bed with me.

Dog's don't hate chocolate. Try and feed it to them, they'll eat it. But then again, if you feed a dog enough chocolate, he'll die. They don't HATE it, it's lethal to them.
And my cat loves getting high with me too

I don't think chocolate is bad for cats, does anyone know why it is for dogs? I know they have to eat a lot to even get sick though.
^^ I'm pretty sure he meant that dogs don't like to eat the pot

General rule: Dogs will eat pretty much anything that's food. even stuff that's not good for them. Scavengers, they are, by nature. Cats won't eat stuff that's not good for it. Hence "finicky" cats.
Chocolate is Really Bad for dogs Even just a little. Period. I believe they cannot digest/process, and toxins can build up fast.
Peace

Weed is actually on the list of toxics for cats. So don't let them be chewing on your plants.

I've had two dogs eat large amounts of chocolate on separate occasions in the past with no problems. I know it is toxic for them, but my understanding is that it needs to be quite a lot of chocolate. That, or I've had two very tolerant dogs. So don't feed them any, but I wouldn't flip out if they get into a couple brownies.

i dont believe that chocolate is essentially lethal to dogs. from what i understand from a chemist friend, the dog must ingest a large amount of chocolate for them to die. Dogs actually love chocolate, feeding them your sticky chocolate coated fingers is perfectly ok (in moderation, cus your dog prolly gon get fat)
i'm pretty sure that it works the same way that ratkill works (only in a much, much more miniscule way) in that it thinns the blood.

I just searched google and yeah, that is on the list.
How serious of a toxin do you think it is? Cause my cat loves to get blitzed. I might make him quit.
Or switch to catnip.

Ummmm, actually, theobromine, which is present in cacao in very significant quantities, is deadly toxic to dogs. Your dog will die while puking and shitting simultaneously before he manages to get fat off of it.

The theobromine in it, which we can metabolise quickly, dogs cannot. So eating chocolate means they will get far more of a speedy effect than a human. This means of course, give a dog 100g of chocolate, and that'll cause them to overdose, and have a heart attack.
I don't know about cats, but they are useless stink balls of contemptuous fluff. I'd put mescaline in your food, it'd teach the little cunt to show you some respect.

100g!? Maybe if you're talking about milk chocolate!
