So I got 28 grams foliage of Caapi leaves from BBB..and my question is, if I wanted to take Ayahuasca how many grams of these leaves should I mix and if these leaves contain the same chemicals as the vine does? And how many grams of MHRB I should use along with it? What's the best way to prepare Ayahuasca in your guys opinion? peace

Oh and how long do you have to hold in the tea before you can throw up and not waste the contents? thx.

Hold it down till you can't hold it anymore. As for the root bark, use 3-4 grams.
I'm unsure about the leaves.

The leaves are not good for carrying the weight of the brew. You still need ayahuasca vines and stems to get a good brew (older parts of the plant = wiser teaching, more useful experience).
The leaves are great as an admixture. I remember someone on the ayahuasca.com forums saying that the leaves were good for filling in the spaces and the cracks that may be left out by a just vine brew.
Just throw in a handful, or a few pinches. The leaves have the same chemicals as the vine, just in lower amounts. They may also contain five-MEO, but I'm not sure.
So if you want a good brew, obtain some ayahuasca vine. I use about 10-13 grams mimosa per dose (though mimosa varies a lot in potency). You rip and tear it into shreds in a bowl of cold water, then strain the rootbark and put the water into a glass or bottle to let the sediment settle to the bottom. You pour off (or filter out) the clearer red liquid and discard the sediment.
At this point, you can add your mimosa to an already cooking ayahuasca brew, or you can add it to a separate pot and boil off the mimosa to a couple of shots to drink it seperately from the caapi. You could also leave the mimosa tea unboiled and sip it slowly, though I don't like the taste much.
Holding the brew in can be difficult, but purging it out can be incredibly amazing. Many ayahuasca users will tell you that the best parts of their experiences often happen during or after the purge. It is the time of the most thorough healing.
I would say hold it in an hour, and you will probably still get effects.
Sometimes, however and for whatever reason, ayahuasca will not work. You will get little more than a sleepy feeling and just barely tangible, inticing visuals. This is when you begin to learn that ayahuasca is about much much more than psychedelic experiences...

Wow, you must get really potent mimosa. It always seems to take more than ten grams with the stuff I have.

The amazing thing about purging on B. Caapi is that it is so tannic that you can throw up for an hour and it still seems just as strong as it first did. There's not enough anything on ones system to dilute it. I bet it has more phytochems than most anything else. Probably a good anti-cancer agent, collon tonic, etc, healing in its own right. It's said sometimes that if the Aya is not taking then some fat in the diet will kick it in. A slice of bread with butter or something like that.
