update. More water. I see something that the camera cant see yet. It is completely under water. Under tap water in a sink that was cleaned out a few days ago but has a few tooth brushing sessions in it

Yes of course, however, results, or guesstimating from members here have sometimes found direct misting "appear" to cause an abort... As stated, it's just an observation...

if you drink enough water, you'll abort too. lol mushies can grow in drenched rain pour because they are out in constant fresh air and the water drains through the soil and doesn't stay in direct contact with the myc getting stagnant. Like someone already said, you can directly mist but you need to up the FAE.. over hydrated fruits/myc will grow badly just like under-hydrated fruits.. i.e., too fast which reduces weight.. thinly and hollow which also reduces weight.. everyone just needs to learn how the strain they are working with develops through it's cycle and tune it in.. not every strain grows the same way.. theres no real way to say, "hey, this is how it's done exactly for all strains." Everything is just a base to create your own grow methods off of. Healthy mycelium needs to cycle all water, nutes, and gases in an even flow to get the best healthy fruits.
in example: heres a GT bin.. it looks like it was bangin right? wrong.. I got only about 2.3 oz's off of it whereas I normally get about 4.5 to 5 oz's.. the fruits were paper thin..

the problem was that the cakes were over hydrated.. you can tell by how small the fruits are.. granted it is a GT strain but still.. see how thin the stems are? and the caps are opening very slowly.. not to mention what you see is really only the top layer of cakes fruiting.. there is 23 cakes in there.. I over saturated the cakes and in time some water made it's way down to the bottom layer of cakes; making them produce poorly..
heres the same cakes (minus a few due to trich because of the over hydration) on the second flush.. they all did much better because I didn't dunk them for very long.. maybe a few hours.. these were still a bit too wet, but they definitely did better..

see how the fruits look healthier and the caps are opening up?

so its been a few days since I started soaking the hell out of the casing. Check this out. I wonder if the moisture has something to do with this.

Misting in and of itself does not cause aborts. We've known that for a long time. Misting and then keeping in a totally sealed container will cause aborts. As fahtster said above, direct rain is fine because they're also surrounded by fresh air, being outdoors.
However, I'd give a bit more air exchange to those. The long stems and small caps are an indicator of not enough fresh air. RR

I agree but that picture is 3 days from harvest here is another pic from today and about to harvest
the one in the lower right corner is as tall as TWO 1/2 pint cakes and the cap is like 2.5 inches in diameter and still not fully opened, and the stem is about 1 inch thick
