is it possible to sterilize pincones and inocullate? fluffed up with a bit of verm or perlite

cubes is the strain

maybe a shiitake or oyster? this is interesting... i dont think cubes would like pinecones though...

Rye is more expensive then wbs ... but um...wondering if anyones tried wood as a substrate for cubes...I know it works...just like oysters soak up oil

So what you can't afford 35Cents a POUND. And oh yea trich loves wood. That is why we sift the peet moss for our casings to remove all the pieces of wood and stuff.

someone around here accidentally contaminated their wood lover grow with cubes and the cubes took over a portion of the sub and fruited on just wood.
