mmmm... k.... I have my cool mist running outside being tubed in to the martha... I tried having it inside of it, but my martha is too small to make it not such a pain in the ass to get it filled and collect the standing water... im still trying a few things though...
just curious.. for casings, has anyone used just a cool mist running all the time outside the martha and had success?
hippiechick... do you have your cool mist in the martha, or tubed in? I think you have it in the martha, cause you said you have yours on a timer...

people do have success but due to back pressure i guess? the coolmists usually fail quickly. I know some people who use a tray of perlite at the bottom to wick up any water that drops down.

well.. i just set a tray under the martha with holes stabbed in the bottom to collect water.. and I just did what I did for my tubs.. I figure that the martha I have is twice the size of my tubs, so I just set a tray of damp pumice at the bottom (before everyone starts, I have used pumice as a replacement for perlite, and it works great..), and Im going to leave my cool mist on 24/7 just like my 2 tubs... that should work... Im going to let it do its thing for a couple hours, then I will repost.. I hate my apartment.. its so fucking small, and so is the closet... it makes it such a pain in the ass for this hobby.. very worth it though... I will repost when I see if it works.. with my tubs, I could do this, and just cover and uncover holes as needed to maintain humidity.. plus, Im doing casings, so I do not need 95+ RH...
we shall see

well.. my humidity gauge is reading very high.. its a lil off, but I know how high it goes because I had it in my tubs and it showed the same with sweaty walls.. lol... there is no condensation, which is good... so I got at least 85 to 90% RH with the pumice and a cool mist on 24/7.. I rule...
