Overheated poo question

I've got a pan of poo colonizing right now and was wondering what the detrimental effects of some overheating are. Heres the deal:
We inoculated the horse poo with wbs and incubated for ~4 days with an ambient temp of 78-82 degrees. After this, we opened to check out growth and noticed that the mycelium had a brown tint to it..we then realized we were doing something wrong.
A little searching and sure enough, NO INCUBATING. Unfortunate but not the end of the world.
Since then we have been colonizing at room temp and myc growth has been slow but steady. I'm just a little antsy and was wondering how much this will effect the fruit? Can I still expect multiple decent flushes? Most of the new growth has been white but there is a significant amount with the brown tint. Only one little tiny spot of yellow myc "piss" showed up, and we dabbed it out with some q-tips.
I'm hoping for the best on this one, but we've got plenty more spawn coming!

If the mycelium had a brown tint to it, you might be growing mold, not mushroom mycelium. Excesive temperatures can cause more metabolites to be produced, and they have a brown tint. Perhaps that's what you saw? RR

Joshua - just a radiator heater in a closet with tin foil over the pan.
RR - Im 99% sure its mycelium, because there is white "normal" growth on top of the brown tinted mycelium. Like you said, from searches I found it to be excessive metabolites. Also the little puddle of yellow myc piss I found seems to confirm this.
Back to the question, does anyone know if these excessive metabolites damage the substrates ability to fruit? I assume it has to to some degree, but does anyone have any experience? Does it effect the ability to have multiple flushes (remember I am casing)?

When I had excessive metabolites it was a brown liquid like you described. In a couple days of dryer conditions it simply disappeared and myc grew over it and it still flushed beautifully. So if it is metabolites no worries.

I've used poo every time so far and i believe that's the way to go...new to posting stuff on here still a little nervous have been watching and learning for a while now. I've noticed its almost like it leaks that brown when too dry i think or too wet it depends i guess once u can tell the difference u know but it will probably still fruit just not as much... i know this is a old post too
