Kewl, I'd like to see the claims listed in the patent.

Congrats
Does this mean that anyone making, selling or trading pods at this time are messing up?
Or do you have to wait til the patent is issued?

Good thing I made all mine last week. It looks like you covered a lot of bases with your patent. There is such a large spectrum of items out there now that certainly could be infringing. If I read it right, even someone who makes a basic terraium for cakes is utilizing a few processes listed in your patent. Good job to both you and your attorney!

Congratts on doing exactly what I would of done if I had invented the "pod".
Keep in mind however (as I understand it) it's still totaly up to you to fight any infringing competition in the courts (including the court/lawer costs $$).
Congratts again, I really dont blame ya!

Congrats McMan! It's good to see that you can protect all those great ideas you have.
I still want one of those gadgets and will be getting my boyfriend to buy it for me as soon as we complete our move. It is supposed to be my birthday present. My birthday was last week but we are moving in a couple weeks so I figured it was best to wait to purchase the pod.
YAY!

The pod business must be drawin one hefty chunk of change to be able to invest that much within 2 months! Either way I think it was a good decision from your stand point. Honestly it makes me feel weird too that your patent covers many things that have been around longer then the pod. We just have to trust that you won't go irate and try to sue every one with a similar idea. If you do go for STP first.........lol.

Congrats...!!! It certainly looks like a very nice design...and its quite obvious you have put so much time and effort into the entire project...I think its well worth a patent. Costly or not... who knows... maybe one day a company from Holland will buy you out to offer hydroponic shrooms for the cannibus cup....err....something Something magical anyway. At least you have stopped people around here from copying your design and capitalizing on it

congrats mcman, were so proud of you over here!!!
ps, you may want to reconsider talking too much about the patent and the process you went through to obtain it. not the money or whatever generally about the patenting process, but about the issue of broad patent claims, and specific questioningof your patent... id ask your atty about talking about the process publically and how you both determined what should be claimed and your opinions on those claims. (i dont want to be specific, since i could be off base and i also could not be). i just dont want to see anything alter what youre working for- any questions about the draft specifically should prolly be handled by your atty
(its only cos im looking out for you that i mention this, and everyone here can blame it on me if he chooses to follow up on my advice. im just so proud that this is working- im so excited to see part of the hobby become legitimized, even if it has to step away to do it. kudos, since im just rambling now!!!)
