who eats them? how do you prepare them?
i fucking love them. i just boil them in water and ACV vinegar for about 10-15 mins. good as gold.

they used to constantly stab me when scanning people's groceries at the store i worked at 6 years ago, resulting in holding something personal against them so much i never eat them
but i love a good spinach/artichoke dip

Hold 'choke by bottom stem...use scissors to nip oof the points of each petal. start at the bottom, work the tips of scissors in between the petals, and ...snip.... after that, cut bottom stem flush with bottom...you'll lose a few of the tiny petals at the very bottom... Next, make an "X" into the bottom of the flower, pentrating about an inch or so( depending on size) into bottom flesh. Boil with a few lemons( cut into 1/4's, squeezed into pot, then put leftover lemon in) until tender when poked with a fork into bottom flesh. Don't overcook, as they will fall apart. Enjoy with garlic butter, mayo, etc. Peace

The baby artichokes are real good.Artichokes get better when it frosts before picking..Buy the ones with frost burn for a good eating one.

marinated artichokes are really yummmy on salads, heck i could just eat them as is!

mmmm yzyz, very delicious, I find them a pain to prep up, but once you get them cleaned up there ezpz. I like them cooked up in butter and tomato's and what not, maybe splash some merlot all up in there.

I usually just steam, or grill the heart and stem, after getting the choke and outer peal off.
