can a half pint of left over wbs that s fully colonized be birthed and produce a mushroom or two?
dont want to dunk it or anything, just flip the jar over and let it sit.

sure, or you could just get a handful of dirt and case the top of it and leave it in the jar. The wbs cake will not produce as many mushrooms as a cake that have vermiculite in it unless you case it. There isnt enough moisture in it

Spawn it to something, maybe more grain jars, maybe a small amount of bulk sub. If its ~ a half pint, you could probably spawn it to a quart of pasteurized bulk in a small tray and fruit from that. WBS will fruit very poorly on its own from what many have said.

thx tahoe.
this is just left over and shouldnt be thrown in the trash for nothing. so if something with 'no' effort can be done to make it produce A fruit then yay.

check this out. This isnt a cube but it was the same type of thing, extra grain, I pc'ed it, used it as a tester to make sure the lc wasnt contaminated, its about to fruit. Its a portabella. grain does not support many fruits in this strain. I will probably ony get a few. Other species would get about 14 dry grams

Straight WBS with 1/4 inch of 50/50 peat, verm.
I just crumbled 4 quart jars of WBS, let it re-colonize for about 3 days and then cased. One week later Pins.

I disagree IME, my WBS cakes fruit just fine..I had one BRF cake that produced more pins but they were tiny compared to my WBS cakes.. But, the BRF cake I think was a little more potent..Not by much though..anyways..good luck in your endeavors OP!
