From Me to Who?
    #7879380 - 01/14/08 05:26 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

From Me to Who?
---------------

from lovers to strangers
from heaven to hell
from free as a bird
to being locked in a cell

from concrete composure
to falling apart
from bursting with love
to a hole in my heart

from all i could wish for
to all that i had
from calm & coherent
to mindlessly mad

from tender affection
to total despair
and broken perfection beyond all repair

from pure adoration
so true and intense
to complete devastation
of logic and sense

from staring and smiling
and budding romance
to sitting in silence
avoiding my glance

from a kiss by the ocean
with time standing still
to life on my own
with forever to kill

from the world in my arms
as the sun fades away
to waking alone
and despising the day

from writer to reader
my message is this:
Venus is vicious
but barters with bliss

sometimes the sweetness
turns bitter and bad
and tasting the truth
is so sour and sad

the pain is persistant
when passion has passed
but seclusion surrenders
and memories last

so prepare for the worst
in pursuit of the best
recapture the joy
and abandon the rest

continue with caution
whoever you are
because arrows from Cupid
leave permanent scars

and love without sadness
will never exist
but each precious moment
is worth every risk.

i was trying to say that the goddess of love can be a very nasty character to deal with, but it is possible to negotiate with her and bring some true happiness into your life... or some shit like that :oP

It started out completely negative without such a copout happy conclusion but half way thru writing it i watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind lol... it influenced me to try and add a more positive slant on my writing as i tend to overindulge in the dark and depressive a bit too much. Example: here's one i wrote a few days before From Me to Who -

State of Mine
-------------

run from today, hide from tomorrow
a head full of demons
a heart full of sorrow

ruins of love chewed to pieces and swallowed
so filled with resentment yet totally hollow

fear & self-loathing dissolving my dreams
with sinister whispers & deafening screams

my kindest intentions are viciously vexed
each moment of madness surpassed by the next

chemical cravings caressing my thoughts
relentlessly raging regrets & remorse

relinquish the peace i so desperately crave
and smile through my teeth as i dig my own grave

----------

As you can see i haven't been having a great deal of fun lately :frown:
