Anybody seen this flick yet? It looks pretty interesting. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp haven't let me down yet, so I'm thinking about going to see this. I just wanted to know if anybody here has seen it.

I saw it opening weekend, on LSD, and it was a loooooot of fun.

One of the songs is fucking terrible, and unfortunately it reprises like 3 times. I ate a low dose of acid wash and had a great time.

hahaha
When I went to London I went to the "London Dungeons"... basically a tourist trap where you learn about all the stuff that went on in London... the plague, the fires, Jack the Ripper, etc,etc... anyway, one of the little thing you go through is a "haircut" at Todd Sweeney's. apparently his girlfriend disposed of the bodies by making meat pies... So to get to the Todd Sweeney's part you are on this log ride through the sewers and his girlfriend pops out of fucking nowhere to be your guide into the Sweeney thing.
Well, we're getting off the raft and she pops around the corner booming " 'ello, what have we here? Fresh meat?" and I go "OH SHIT!!" b/c she came out of fucking NOWHERE and scared us. Anyway she like grabbed me by the arm and was like "Such foul language, yank, I 'ear that again and you're out of 'ere!"
and that's how I almost got kicked out of a tourist trap in London.

HAHA I went to London Dungeon too. My bro and I saw this dark ass hallway we thought it was part of the whole getup and we ended up in their changing rooms for the workers. I remember that part too. The bitch freaked me out.

Which is too bad... 'cause it IS a beautiful song... when it is not sung by a chipmunk.
GOOD movie... but it is an even better play. Almost unfilmable... I am impressed at Burton's vision. He cut a LOT out though. I guess with Sweeny, cutting goes with the territory.
I'd give it a B+

i enjoyed the movie.
i loved burton's vision, and his cinematography. Especially the scene/song about retiring to live by the beach. Loved the way that was filmed. The characters look happy and healthy, but towards the end of the number the color runs from their faces and become pale and miserable.
Also, Sacha Baron Cohen's brief appearance was spectacular. Truly shows the acting range of the man.

i went to the film showing. I wish I would've been tripping balls cause it wasn't very fun for me sober. I'm not too much into musicals but Jonny depp is the man.

I liked this movie quite a bit.
It's kind of morbid, but it was enjoyable. The opening song is the best one, IMO (There's a hole in the world like a great black pit and it's filled with people who are filled with shit).
I also thought it was kinda funny how like 3 of the characters all were in Harry Potter together as well.\
Anyway, if you think musicals can be entertaining i'd recommend it.

That movie was so boring I fell asleep. I used to love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp (even the 9th gate and that jack the ripper shit) but both their shit has been boring as hell lately. I'm sick of Depp's crappy Brittish accent.
Part of me wants to see it, but the other half tells me Burton is losing his edge and not to waste my time.
