San Francisco dec 7-9th trip
    #7873608 - 01/13/08 02:30 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

I took a trip up to San Francisco during the weekend of the 7-9th in December. I met up with several of the shroomery members including Suimush, Curecat, and Alan Rockefeller. Many kudos to Curecat for picking my ass up and giving me the tour of GGP. All of you guys I met up there were great and I wish to come and hunt with you all again. All but the last two were from GGP.

Even though I ended up with no fresh cyanescens in my possession, I did get to find them and hunt many many many other species.

heres a few of the species. I dont know them all nor did i Identify them all but If you can ID them by just the pics please go ahead.

1. Marasmius species

Very cool mushroom. They were growing from under/out of the pinecone.

2. Conocybe Filaris

Cyanescen Look-alike (deadly as hell)

3. Stropharia Aurantiaca

The Indicator species for cyansescens. Very beautiful Mushrooms. IMO

4. Honey Mushroom

I made her hold it up. Shes was very helpful. This was one of the biggest honey mushrooms Ive ever seen.

5. Unknown

Found outside of GGP. On the bank of a lake.

6. Unknown

More from a Golf Course.

Once again, Thank you everyone for hunting with me and being so damn awesome. Sui, CC, Alan, Youre all bad asses. I need to move up to San Fran. I love hunting subbs but this isnt my kind of culture/social lifestyle. i cant stand the soccer moms and the trophy wives, the business men who dont care about anyone outside of their family, And the catholic school kids who are scared cuz I dont believe in the Lord Jesus christ. All things i cant stand.

anyways.... yeah. San Fran has the vibes. The shrooms, and the people.
Im movin when I can

If you move up there, be sure to wear flowers in your hair.

Ahh thank you cactu. I looked in my book and that might be right. It doesnt look like the collybia I found yesterday in the woods though. I wasnt used to seeing a different kind.

aww if you must. Its your picture. not of me. and youre a moderator anyways. lol

I think you were talking to alan at that moment about candy caps or something similar. I still wish I had your sense of smell so I could hunt easier. slowly getting my smell back. (smoking will take your sense of taste and smell away. Dont smoke!)

So Curecat, if its worth it to come up to san fran again in the next two weeks I will again. you think It will be a more "successful" hunt? possibly not in GGP? lol I dont mind actually. just not very fond of dog shit and syringes.

Subbed - I haven't been out looking for new patches in a week, I've just had my hands full with my established patches.  I haven't been able to hit them all up.  I'll be out hunting tomorrow in anticipation of the MSSF meet in the evening, so i will let you know if i think it is worth it.
I may want to hunt in marin or the east bay though.  SF is kind of a pain in the ass.  The hunting has not been nearly as good for me in SF.  I have many more patches in the east and north bay.

Canid - It's kinda funny, cause i still have mushrooms that need sorting, and have been too busy to keep up with many of my patches.  Suimush called me today reminding me to check a patch here in Marin, yet i have been trying to get there.. I was supposed to check on friday, hehe.
I forget the location of your patch, I still don't know my way around south SF.  I'll pm ya.
And i need to check my morel patch!!  :bomb:
