The brown leaves usually won't come back... at least in my experience. Just keep it under the light and water it little amounts at a time.

For me, one or two whole leaves smoked straight out of a pipe in one or two big hits will get me tripping... I'd say pluck off a couple, if they're old and deformed, they're not going to get any better.

Perhaps we are both on some sort of unusual wave length associated with unusual neuro-transmitters, mind expansion white light, or something we can not even begin to understand or fathom to conceive because it is a gift of insight or a curse given to us by powers beyond our control, something we are not meant to know."

you might be watering it too much. thats how i lost my first salvia plant. stop transplanting it so much, get good draining soil (i find that cactus soil they sell at gardening stores works great) and let the soil dry out in between waterings.

compressed soil surrounded by perlite??
you want a loose mix of soil and perlite NOT compressed, it would be like trying to grow a plant in concrete

I have two questions/comments:
1. Did you recently fertilize it? Perhaps you used to much fertilizer. This can burn a plants roots.
2. Are you using fresh water out of a hose/sink? You might want to let that water sit for like a day first. We put a lot of chemicals in our water to keep it safe. But these chemicals can also harm certain plants. Letting it sit for a day will allow a lot of those chemicals to escape.
