How long till pins?

well i have been waiting and im just wondering how long until i will see pins? Assuming i have: FAE a big whole covered in micro pore tape Light a CFL on for 12 off for 12 Humidity 70 - 90%

Could be a tomorrow, could be two weeks. I guess it depends on how much of a hold the mycelium has.
Also, whether or not you have a casing, or cakes, your times could vary.
But I would venture to say about 4 or 5 days.

what if a cake was not fully colonized but with a bit of substrate left will it colonize then fruit?

That part should be removed if possible. That is the perfect place for a contam to take residence.

70-90% humidity is not enough. You could be waiting a while for pins and you risk your cakes or casings drying up very quickly.
Near 100% humidity at the surface of the mycelium is essential for good pin formation. If you cakes, you need to get it in the mid 90S, rolled in verm kept moist will make a huge difference.
If you have casings you can get away with 90-92% with the casing kept nice and moist (but not soaking).
What are you fruiting in?? i dont understand the big hole with micropore tape???
