I've been searching around looking for a certain type of filter. It's small and fits into a big hole in the lid. I've been searching for filter discs. I'm not sure exactly what it's called.

Are you thinking of polyfill? You can get that at walmart.

I have polyfil and I actually got some tyvek earlier today. I've used both methods. But i've seen some lids with this little disc type thing sticking out the top.

No. It's white. It's like a plastic casing with a filter inside.

I can't find a pic. That's kind of what i'm looking for. It's not the synthetic filter disc. It's about the size or a quarter, maybe a little bigger.

You don't need filters on your jars. They are a waste of time. A simple foil lid will prevent contams from entering.

I believe those are what you are talking about? They're more for LC jars, kinda not necessary on a spawn jar. But then again I don't know what you plan to use em for.

Yeah, that's it. Not the same brand but that will work. I need to find a wholesaler or something. If I pay 2.79 a filter...I have 72 jars that i'm making.

If you want a self sealing port just put some silicone on the tyvek right about the innoc point and bingo injection port

Ever since I developed a deep dislike for polyfill I have used nothing but tyvek with great results,no self sealing injection port or anything, just cover your inoculation hole with a piece of alcohol soaked micopore tape
