B+ Abort problem (or i think)

One of my batches, the one on the good old PF cakes are fruiting nicely apart from 3. These started growing a cluster of healthy shrooms about 10 out of the left side of the cake, 4 of which are 1-1.5 inchs. But, they seemed to have not elongated in the past 2 day hence i think they have aborted, so i left them just in case and now more shrooms are growing on the opposite side these have doubled or tripled in size over night. I left the 'aborts' on the cake.
Does any one have an explanation as to why this occurs?

c02, more air exchange (most often) but if they are indeed aborts remove them from your cake before they rot.

^^ agreed. Aborts usually won't rot on your cake until after your next dunk. Just harvest them w/ the rest.

If the heads have turned grew/black, they are aborts. Untill then they can be left.
I wouldnt be so sure about aborts not rotting for a while. I would remove them as soon as you are sure they are aborts. If they r grew/black then its best to remove them.
