I always feel like I'm not experiencing my life to the fullest. Like I see the beauty of the universe but feel like I can't grasp it fully and thrive in it. Yadda mean?

If you wanna enjoy anything at all, you first have to enjoy your current state. No matter how boring or useless it might feel, it IS what you are right now. Not enjoying it is not accepting who you become, it's a state of denial not only towards you but towards reality and what it has to offer. It also keeps you from understanding. It looks like what you are perceiving as beautiful is something created in your mind and it's an illusion meant to separate you from the pulse of life. Why project in your mind when you can have the real thing? Go out and play.

Same here, it's like i can see it, but not get the full thing. Like i need drugs or something to experience it. From the past use of drugs getting that same feeling while sober but not being able to reach it.
Bummer.

Grasping at experience, at some final understanding and appreciation, is the first problem, IMO. The process is unfolding, not static.
Also, I find I am often actively trying quite hard to let go - grasping at not-grasping. This is just as ineffective as grasping at new experience and new apprehension.
How one will experience life seems to be determined by one's conditioning. There are many things one can do to become a bit more aware of conditioning, among them psychedelic trips and developing awareness through meditation. What kind of activities do you engage in to try and live a more fulfilling existence?

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

Good point This is certainly a trap that meditators may find themselves in. "Am I being zen enough NOW?" - is a sign of grasping. Sometimes what helps me get past this hurdle is to smile when I meditate and feel that everything is unfolding as it should be; for some reason this helps me stop grasping so much and become more focused on my heart. I feel the heart is important for letting things unfold.

To accomplish this (making the most out of reality), for yourself and your children, we must all first come together and release ourselves from the clutches of the Bilderberg group. Then we can make Earth the planet where the party's at!

Fortunately, I have been one who has found what brings me most satisfaction (which of course leads to other questions, ie. what is true satisfaction.)
Simply, I have found my joyous work. Between work and reading I have found at least half my week to be considered meaningful, and full of purpose. To find meaning in every moment of your life takes constant introspection. A very blunt and thorough idea of what output you expect to see in you everyday engagements. If your reality consists of the output of the interactions than you must first investigate which interactions (creative, social, reading, thought), bring you the greatest sense of purpose) brings you the greatest fulfillment. what do you feel most capable of building upon? does it resonate with the person you have created prior to such a decision?
I suppose what I'm getting at is, "what is your reality?" If it is as I have stated above...than what brings you the greatest sense of joy? what builds itself naturally within your life?
