The pucker factor?
I've noticed in close call situations such as these, I feel a clarity in my sense of being, pure alertness, and an empowerment to act in appropriate response. I try to bring this into all of my life, and the best way is to consciously contemplate the inevitability of one's own death.

I'm not very well studied in psychology so I don't know how much I can really explain the connection of feeling and emotion, other then say something like "it feels like you are happy." Maybe one of the bodily responses would be that you have an increase in energy.

He IS Sexy Butt McDanger after all, but I'm afraid to inform him yet of the bare truth... which is that it will be HIS butt that will get all puckered.

This all basically illustrates why Philosophy of Language is a small field.
Philosophy is the parent of all sciences, and that means that eventually it has to say goodbye to it's children, cut the apron strings, so to speak.
This field was origionally called Rhetoric, and was a part of greek philosophy. It eventually birthed Public Speaking, Psychology, etc. These are sciences unto themselves, no longer grouped with philosophy.
Philosophy of the Mind is becoming less relevent as it's replaced first by Psychology and then by Neuroscience. Philosophy has nothing left to say on these subjects of any relevence, now that we have the capacity to observe.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to my Phil. class, Ethics and Value Theory. Ethics is really one of the last places Philosophy has any standing. Still, I'm sure I'll find something to do with a Bachelors in Phil. Like growing mushrooms.
