This question was probably asked a # of times but im curious is it true? can you feed spores to a cow and it will come out inoculated poo poo?...why not? Mycelium is an acidic loving organism?

hold on now i think i remember RR saying that it works. this post comes up a number of times every year and is usually answered by RR, he said something about it in a post by some kat who decided to talk to a farmer and try it out i will try to find it

That's how it works in nature. The spores drop on the grass next to the mushie, the cows eat it, and swallow the spores, which then actually germinate inside the cow, and come out in ready made compost. Feed that cow dude.

It's not the only way they spread, but it's certainly one of them. I've seen patches established by putting prints into the cows water trough. RR
