Sweet! I read Strassman's book about a year ago and it is very interesting. I'm excited to see that they have gotten commentary from Alex Grey too. I hope they have more interviews with the research subjects themselves.
edit: upon further reading i see that Joe Rogan is included in this film. Why not just pick one of us here at random? I mean, really, what qualifies this guy to be included. Maybe it's just me but i think he gets too much credit for being outspoken about drugs. i have heard that 3 minute blip he had on the net somewhere about dmt. but i did't think he said anything in that that couldn't have been gathered from reading the book. anyway, still too early for judgements. i guess we will see when it comes out.

sweeet
Joe rogan has a powerful likable personality and is very popular(and with good reason imo)
so if hes a big psychedelic advocate like he apparently is then the question isn't "why include him?" its "why would you question it?"

Better stock up on mimosa hostillis and other such herbs.. if such a movie does come about, the interest from the average person and the law will increase ten-fold

perhaps you should look at the list of participants they have included in the film:
http://thespiritmolecule.com/participants.html
He has no credibility behind him. He's an actor/activist. Why include just him and not some other outspoke, likeable celebrities to talk about it? They might as well put me in the movie to talk about it. It just seems like the film is based on hard facts and science. Ehh, it's not a big deal i was just commenting on that. I can't wait to watch it though. I really liked the book and the movie will be just as enlightening im sure.

VERY true
thats actually a really good point
one of the cool things about DMT is the fact that if you want to try it you pretty much HAVE to do the extract yourself cause no "average" drug dealer has even heard of DMT
then again I have to always side with truth when it comes down to it...regardless of the negatives...and it could help to push the research

Joe rogan isn't just an average celebrity imo...I've always liked his up front and honest approach
Joe rogan is HIGHLY respected by many averages "joes" in the mainstream...so having him state his point of view in the movie will help to convince ppl who would most likely dismiss it normally
like him or not his name will bring in a larger audience and because hes honest more troof will be spread so IMO having him included is a no brainer

And that's all I really care about. We have to get the research going again so that we can educate the idiots that run our country about these chemicals effects in our bodies. This film looks promising in that respect. So does that other drug documentary posted a while ago in here. I can't remember the name of it. The trailer looked great though. Anyway, since the government is shooting a steady diet of propaganda to the public it's going to be up to us, i guess, to re-educate the public. These documentaries are a great way to do so. the unfortunate thing about all this is that people have to seek this information in order to receive it. I'm sure you'll all agree that we've seen enough anti marijuana ads on TV. I would ONCE just like to see a really heartfelt compassionate television commercial about positive marijuana use. If i was a millionaire I would buy an ad during the superbowl halftime. Wouldn't that be awesome to be watching the game and all of a sudden a positive drug commercial comes on. I bet the FCC wouldn't allow it. fucking government. sorry to rant there.

I remember a commercial here in canada on the comedy network about "not smoking & driving" it was kinda funny and it in no way discouraged use...just driving while stoned
it was a MADD commercial I believe
may have been aired in the US too for all I know(but I kinda doubt it)

Sure, perhaps Joe Rogan speaking good on DMT will get the word out there to your average person. But his little DMT rant was an embarrassment
Despite that however, he is a good asset to the cause nonetheless. People will listen to Joe Rogan, an individual already in the public eye for the most part over your average random person from the entheogenic community.
