totally wrong diagnosis
    #7872329 - 01/13/08 03:54 AM (16 years, 19 days ago)

Hey guys, for the past 5 years i've been diagnosed with schizophrenia because I used to hear someone talking on a radio while I was in bed wide awake and have been taking antipsychotics and never really felt better. Something interesting happened for the past few days my mother has been hearing someone talking on a radio but not directly at her and she researched it on the internet and came up with a diagnosis musical ear syndrome which says that it's not a psychiatric auditory hallucination. That's the exact same thing I experianced and the radio voices don't directly talk to me or tell me to do things. I now realize that what the problem is. It's really bad anxiety because sometimes I have anxiety attacks and panic attacks. I live in a constant state of worry. I've always been an anxious person but it got worse after I had a bad trip. Since I don't have schizophrenia it is possible for me to shroom again. I was thinking maybe in a couple of years because I have greatly improved over the years. I think that having a really good spiritual trip would be good for my residual anxiety. I had a bad trip because I abused the psychedelics terribly and abused alcohol terribly too. I think the bad trip was to tell me that I need to turn my life around, and recently I have started to integrate it in my life and today I made the final revelation. It took 6 years to realize all the agony I was going through was because of the bad trip. It took long enough.

I don't really hang around here anyway I only post occasionally and I mostly read the grow and identification guides. And sometimes the trip reports.

If you do decide to trip again makes sure you have a trusted sitter with you at all times, just in case.

Sounds like you've learned from the shroom and are ready to try it again. As long as you feel comfortable and are in a comfortable environment, then I fully believe you can and will have a good trip. Good luck! :mushroom2:

I'd check with a doctor about your new diagnosis. No matter what conclusions you have or have not come to, you still hear voices, and you had (or claim to have had) years of difficulty dealing with a single traumatic drug experience.

My panic attacks started after a horrible mushroom trip.

I suggest Trichocereus cactus for your next trip.

It's very gentle, never scary and always spirtual.

Do you mind sharing what the voice on the radio was saying? Do you remember?

I once built a thing that was essentially called alien radio, with some vague instructions from someone else
it generated realistic, good sounding music

That's EXACTLY what a recovering schizophrenic needs. What the fuck is wrong with you people?
