so wife and i took the boy on his first fungus foray!!! wife loved it had such a good time (stroller and all into the the back trails!) met a few other hunters a few pit bulls and had a great day.
hope you can help not eating them just wanna know if possible what they are??
small cap 5-7mm across 1-2mm stem dark brown cap lighter brown but the wild thing i find and the shot sucks you can just see it on the tip of my finger the spore print is WHITE??? any clues.......

next 25-30mm cap light tan in color thin dark brown 1-2mm stem spore print light TAN .......Survey says....

next this patch i stumbled on any clues as to what it is no info it was to cool to destroy.....

then can across this pretty cool

last these RED ones seen on the front of the plate orange red cap 10-15mm across orange stem at base fading to white at the to to meet the cap spore print was shitty no pic but was dark in the faded skeleton that remained

thanks for the incite and Happy Hunting...........;)

#1 maybe Marasmius or even Mycena.
#2 Conocybe or Galerina.
#3 Armillaria sp., Honey Mushrooms.
#4 I don't do lichen.
#5 the red ones are Stropharia aurantiaca.

There are thousands of mushrooms in many genera with white spore prints. Spores come in all colours. When you suspect a white spore print, take a sharpie and scribble in a black portion, and set the mushroom cap halfway on the black and halfway on the white part of the paper. That way you can see the true colour on the white paper, but be able to more easily confirm if the mushroom has white spores or if it simply dropped none with the black portion of the paper.

Very good tip i must say !! another thought i had would to have made the print on a piece of glass then the shot would have been awesome except my camera had no macro function so i would not have been able to share it.
