This thread was moved from The Pub.
Reason: Use the Pub for general chat please, questions like this regarding the preparation of psychedelic brews should go in either the Ethno Garden or the Psych Exp.

It was live when I got it so it has roots. I'm wondering if the base of the cacti has mescaline and if it's safe to make it into a tea and drink it w/ all the roots and dirt and shit in it?

Yer weird...........
The roots have chemicals related to mescaline but almost no actual mescaline if any.
Your roots are not worth 1 cent to anyone. They have some effect but most people cant feel a giant stash of roots aside from some strange sensations and mild flushing of the skin.
San pedro is great because it has all sorts of mescaline related chems in it. Thats what makes it unique.
Those "roots" are not going to do you any good. I dont mean"no good". Its just likely you wont feel it unless its an additive to the green cacti.
It would do something obvious to me, but unless you can feel .1-.2 grams of shrooms, it most certainly is not worth your time.
I use the roots too, but I dont ever use them alone. Thats just not something worth doing.

Next time boil that and part of the core down to a shot of liquid. Reason being to boost the second leg of the trip of mesc cacti you are already on.
Like a wheat grass shot.
It gives a little boost to the trip.
When making any mescaline tea I use the whole plant except the core.
The roots are made into a tea before hand to add an extra kick to the later part of the experience(right after the peak). No too involved(I just drink the pre-made juice).
Its like a shot of electricity. Doesnt do much but its like using the whole cacti. Its a weak shot of mescaline related chemicals.
I hope you feel it as much as I would. Any part of the cacti is useful to me. It just depends on how I use the plant.
