More then a coincidence?

I'm by no means a religious person, but yesterday I was reflecting on most of my trips, and I noticed something very peculiar.
I've tripped outside in a local park and there just so happens to be a church near by. The whole trip I could see the cross at the top of the church, no matter where I went in the park it was just always there, all I had to do was look up.
I tripped in a car one night, and the house he parked in front of had a virgin Mary in front of it. I remember looking at it almost all night.
I tripped in my basement, where there is a picture of Jesus Christ on the wall.
and two times in my friends basement where good ole' saint nick sat there by us.
Now I'm not saying that the divine is sending me messages, just weird that a lot of the environments I was in, had a permanent reference to Christianity.
Can anyone else relate to something like this?

Christianity is a pervasive element in Western culture. You live in a small town, yes? Probably with an ordinance that says that no building can be taller than the church.

All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis

While I know that Christianity and the Church is a very prominent feature of Western society and coincidences with those themes may be easy to pass off as just that, I have had experiences, both tripping and otherwise, that leave me questioning like yourself. I recall one trip in particular where I was in my room by myself and had that uneasy feeling welling up inside me, as if I was on the verge of a bad trip. Just as I thought I was going to really hit the storm, one of my best friends walked into my room (totally unannounced and we aren't roommates) and cured what ailed me, so to speak. Sparked a joint he brought, had a conversation (about how plants respond to love, if I may go off on a tangent) and then took a walk. This friend wears a cross around his neck and reads the Bible from time to time I know.
