How long can PF cakes be left before fruiting?

hi all,
i've been growing (mainly PF tek) for the past couple of years now, but i've always fruited my PF cakes a week after they were fully colonised (ie. what i considered to be the optimal time).
i now have a couple of dozen PF cakes that reached this stage a week ago, which unfortunately coincided with me being kicked out of my house for 6 weeks whilst renovations are being performed.
so my question is this, if these cakes are left in the dark (at approx. incubation temp.), for 6-8 weeks after being fully colonised will they still succesfully fruit? (or should i be looking for another location to fruit them so i dont waste my previous efforts?) do you think there will be a significant reduction in yield and/or any other effects i should keep in mind?
thanks very much
peace..

they will fruit in the jar and probably rot by that time..
definitely find some place to let them fruit.. especially if you want more than one flush crammed into a jar..

but wouldn't that help initiate pinning making the problem worse by making him have to find a solution faster.. before they start pinning the jars?

fridging them will put myceliual activity to a standstill. then when it warms, itll pin anyways.

Has anyone ever tried freezing a jar?
I've read that the mycelium can survive up to -20C. Anyone care to test that theory?
