ya,
After effects can really bother some people.
They bothered the hell out of me after about 170 trips on lsd and the more ummmm, natural psychedelics...........lol I learned alot from it. I took psychedelics very seriously after my first few trips. Visual after effects are nothing.
Those will be ever present but will subside over time to some degree.
The cognitive effects are what scares people most when they are "deep in it". Thats what hppd is made of. Not these bullshit "flashbacks".
What you speak of is common, and im the last person to tell people that there are not certain side effects to these hallucinogens.
Just be careful(not too careful). Know your dome. DOnt fuck with psychedelics unless you take them seriously. That would be my last piece of advise. I dont think many people here are willing to acknowledge that yes, they can hurt you. If they do hurt you you need to deal with that and turn that shit around any way you can. This sure as hell doesnt mean you are weak in any way.
This shit is as serious as the sun.
Dont fuck with it. It can bite you in the ass even if you are the most experienced tripper EVER.
Thats the problem with the unspeakable. It will never be your best friend. I hope you people handle it well. There is NOTHING like feeling as if you are not at home in your own head.
When the overminds take over you will never be the same, and you need to come to terms with that. Visual after effects dont mean shit, although they may be an indicator of what you have seen but never quite grasped.
I feel sorry for those who have seen but get stuck and cant deal with what they have put their organic brain through. That shit is hard to understand.
I understand why this guy made this post. Thats all.

No kidding..
For several months after a 6 gram mushroom trip of absurdly potent cubes (keep in mind I had tripped hard on mush & L many times before) I had ripples, shifting tectonic plates, and flowing water type visual distortions on EVERYTHING. It not only made me think about mushrooms constantly but it also made me feel like I was in some constant identity crisis. My life is just too busy and was particularly full of drama at that point and it was a very unpleasant experience to work though..
With that being said I am never willing to push a psychedelic on a friend, I always say the same thing which is I can neither discourage them nor can I recommend it to them, it is a decision someone has to make completely on their own. I also think people should make it CRYSTAL CLEAR to themselves WHY they are choosing to use a psychedelic in the first place.
If people use some responsibility and don't abuse by tripping all the time and taking too many monster doses I doubt these problems would occur (if it is a problem for the individual in question), although I confess I screwed around a lot before figuring that out.
Since about August or so I don't trip more than once every month or two and I keep my doses fairly small, might vape some DMT every once in a while, which is the only extreme experience I still put myself through. Besides for an occasional "LSD-ish" type episode that I have experienced a few times from getting stupidly high on hash/ganja, I never have prolonged effects anymore, and I'm feeling pretty damn good!

I had HPPD for about 6-8 months after I had tripped nearly every week for 6 months straight. However, that has completely subsided and now my vision is back to its (bad) normal self and I still trip about once every 3 months.
HPPD doesn't happen to everyone.

I don't know what it is, like a lot of white little spots going everywhere in my vision. Funny to look at
Same for me, they're like little white specks with trails, although they only appear every so often. Never had them before cid. They definitely aren't a bad thing though, they look cool, and don't disrupt anything I'm doing.
