Thank government restrictions on research for the lack of information on the topic.
Without using any medical background to give foundation to my remarks, Im going to say its very unlikely that eating magic mushrooms is going to contribute to the growth of a brain tumor.
There are very few known causes of brain cancers, so unless your coating the mushrooms in vinyl chloride first, I think she'll be fine.
Also, the quote you gave in no way suggests the doctors believed Terence's tumor was caused by mushroom ingestion, instead the doctor was drawing a similarity in structural and organic formation between tumors and mushrooms (whether he knew it or not).

Thats what he gets for those unconventional brazilian subcutaneaous cerebral spore injection experiments.
Whats the best substrate for a fruiting body? A gritty, convoluted mass of brainflesh. Try it out.

The doctor was describing the tumor and it's structure using those terms...he did not actually have a mushroom growing out of mushroom mycelia in his brain. Are you serious?

Now consider how many people have brain tumors and are NOT shamans, daughters of shamans, etc....
On a lighter note, I just bit into a stromboli and yuck! It's got mushrooms in it.

its probably not due to anyones drug use actually. drugs dont cause cancer, except maybe lung cancer with cigarettes. im pretty sure if her father had a tumor, then the polyps(which can be hereditary in many forms of cancer) were in her as well, and thats why she now has one.
