(Non-active) So... what are these little guys?
    #7865830 - 01/11/08 04:38 PM (16 years, 21 days ago)

I was on a trip a couple years ago, and discovered some pretty mushrooms.  I have no idea why it took this long to get to posting this, but here we go.

I don't have a sporeprint or much information on these fungi, other than they're non-active and probably not edible.  They're very fragile and touching them caused them to fall apart.

They're quite unique looking, the cap is opaque and thin as paper.
Their stem is hollow and were found growing 4/29/2006 7:21:12 AM.
*edit*

Obviously wood eating, as they were found in a giant pile of wood chips.

Just another photo of the cap and the gills (it appears to be a thin ribbed membrane w/ spores on the bottom. Opaque to clear membrane too.

no, not corpicus. Coprinus. They are a deliquescent species, and turn into slimy goo after they mature.

Thanks!  I'm guessing the Coprinus Silvaticus.  I wouldn't have even known where to look in my guide other than through all the pictures if it wasn't for you.
