Notes- Study what trace elements and minerals exist in each species habitats and add them accordingly.
And finally, My refined method of curing tobacco...
“Carolina Sunshine” Organic Gold Leaf Tobacco
1)-The entire Tobacco plant is washed with cold water on the 7th hour the evening before curing begins.
2)~Fresh Tobacco leafs are harvested on the 7th hour of the morn. The are left to dry in the sun, until the 7th hour of the evening.
3) The leafs are then placed on a cedar (or other hardwood) rack covered by a plastic tarp to be left in the sun to sweat for 7 days. The trap is removed for 7 minutes on the 7th hour of each evening over the entire course of the 7 day sweating.
4)~After 7 days have passed the leafs are removed from the rack and then quickly steamed over boiling water.
5)~After steaming is complete the leafs are placed back into the uncovered rack and sat next to a hardwood fire to be smoked for 7 hours.
6)~After the smoking is complete remove the leafs from the rack and sun dry for 7 more days.
7)~When the final drying is complete remove the veins from the leafs and roll every seven leaf halves into a bundle. Put the leaf bundles into a wooden container, Add partially dried orange or lemon peels and chopped vanilla beans. Place the wooden container into plastic bags and then bury it 7 inches under the Earth to age for 7 weeks.
8)~ Once the ageing is complete, remove the bundles from the wooden container and place the Tobacco into an air-tight glass jars. The curing is now complete. Store in a cool, dry and dark place.
Suggestions are Welcome.

generally people just hang the leaves to dry and then cure...but they deal with large amounts of leaves, so it's ok to be fancy if you use small amounts i guess.. i just don't think it will wield any different...

not saying that you should skip curing, but that curing it self is something plain simple...
a-put in box b-put bucket of water below c-put fan blowing water lightly d-close door...
and before that you just have to let it dry...

Your typing skills have improved. You thought this post out.
I have noticed you need to focus on thinking about your responses, like your post in the cereus peruvianus monstrose ID thread yesterday. Remember?

Some of my cacti!
Ariocarpus fissuratus “Hikuli Sunami”; 8-9 years old. Grows in southern Texas and northern Mexico. Utilized by the Tarahumara for it’s medicinal and psychoactive properties; Said to be more powerful than Lophophora.

Mammillaria craigii “Peyote de San Pedro”A Mexican cactus highly valued by the Tarahumara. The roasted center of the cactus is squeezed into the ear to relieve headaches and earaches. Used as a stimulant by runners. The center of the cactus is ingested by well trained shamans, which puts one into a deep sleep full of brilliant visions. Supposedly it is now very popular in Australian dance rave culture. It oozes a milky white latex if punctured.

Coryphantha compacta, 4 years old. Native to Chihuahua, Mexico. Some Tarahumara shamans recognize it to be a powerful medicinal cactus and consider it to be a form of “Hikuli” or “Peyote”.

Cactus- Trichocereus riomizquensis Vendor- Trichocereus riomizquensis “FR856" Location of Origin- Campero, Cochabamba, Bolivia Collector- Seed collected by Friedrick Ritter in the late 1950s. Notes- A Pachanoid related to T. bridgesii and T. scopulicolus.

Cactus- Trichocereus pachanoi Vendor- Trichocereus sp. “Torres & Torres”Location of Origin- Northern Chile Collector- Manuel & Donna Torres. Notes- Stats-

Cactus- Trichocereus peruvianus/macrogonus Vendor-Trichocereus Sp. “SS01"

T. macrogonus (Seedling)-

Anybody got an ID on this guy?

I'll edit later and clean it up! I gotta go!!!

farfromhere.. looks to me like it could be a peruvianus. It looks different than mine but... from seedling to seedling they can look different and the spine colors can vary. yours was from a bigger adult plant too. the blue can be because it was older and also how much sun they get can determine the color. I have Bridgesii's that are blue in sections and green in other. I have other cacti that also turn blue in spots. one things for sure.... Its not a Cuzco
