nice little garden you have there. one thing though - A. maidenii should be replaced with A. obtusifolia. better you find that out now than after you've gone to all the trouble of using the resources to grow it indoors. (this info is for you too, cpw ) here's why and it has been substantiated elsewhere too. just trying to be helpful!

thanks for the link about acacias, but why would we want to replace maidenii with obtusifolia?

if it is the Acacia that I am thinking of then I think I read that it wont grow well outside it's natural habitat??? and that it was hard to obtain viable seeds. But the leaves contained high DMT percentages?

to haze and cpw: hey guys, here's what i meant on the Acacia selection - A. obtusifolia is the only one that the folks in Australia say is always consistent for them. The reported alkaloid concentrations you've likely seen for A. maidenii are not accurate. if you're still not sure, take a look over at DMT Nexus, and it'll leave no doubt in your mind, that A. obtusifolia is the one you want to grow.

yes, simplex has the most, which perhaps makes it the best for brewing, BUT, BUT...for extracting the pure alkaloid, simplex will not work! here's why - RATIO of alkaloids (or alkaloid PROFILE). an extraction will pull out ALL alkaloids, which in simplex is only about 1/5 n,n-dmt. the other 4/5 is going to be inactive related tryptamines. so, your pure alkaloid extract will be very very weak no matter how much is used. make sense?

Thanks, they are very easy to care for. I just keep them out of direct sunlight and water when the soil dries out.
