I have about 6 quarts of sealed peasturized 50/50+. If i wanted to use it all in one shot how many of each would you reccommend i use. 1. 1/2 pint BRF jars 2. 1 pint BRF 3. Quart grain jar 4. Half gallon grain 5. Or would a grow bag be more suitable.

What do you mean by using it all in one shot -- you want to know how much substrate is required if you want to use all of your pasteurized jars? Six quarts of 50/50 would be enough for...a lot of substrate. More than a half gallon of grain, I'd venture. For example, for one medium/average-sized grow bag, I would probably end up using a bit under a quart of 50/50.

yeah the thing is this man is going to give me a siq quart bag of substrate. He is giving it to me the first time and if its good i shall return. Its this headshop by me. He does it all himself. Anyway its in a bag paesturized and as ive read it is possible to re-seal the bag, however it still adds a major contam factor even using the upmost of sterility. I have the space, resources and ambition to use the bag all at once. Take into factor it will only be my second grow. But i want to test multiple scenarios giving different conditions for each.
anyway i want to use 2 pink buffalo, 2 china yunnan, 2 brazilian, 2 B+, and 2 Thai Mystery. Right off the start im doing 1 a piece in half pint BRF Jars. As for the other ones i was thinking maybe some grains. Keepin in mind i WANT to use the whole bag. Maybe 3.5in. Depth in standard 9 by 13 aluminum pans. Jus not that knowledgable on the whole 4:1 thing It may not even be enough.

Man...I'm trying, but I still don't know what you're talking about.
This guy is giving you six quarts of substrate or 50/50 casing? Is he giving you a myco bag or something?
Sorry, I don't understand.

Its six quarts pasteurized mix of Peat Moss, Vermiculite with Lime and Oyster Shell Flour to adjust the pH. It is in a sealed off air sealed bag. When ready to use I'm going to open it and use the whole bag. Just trying to figure out how many casings i can get out of it.

I think you're just going to have to give it a shot and see how it turns out. You also might want to talk to your friend or make sure he's putting gypsum in that casing mix, too. It helps prevents swings in pH. If I were you, I'd just make it myself and not pay him for it in the future. A good ratio is 10 parts peat : 10 parts vermiculite : 1 part gypsum : 1/4 part hydrated lime.
