Fungi Perfecti Laminar flow hood

I was just wondering as im thinking of purchasing one http://fungi.com/tools/airfilters.html does anyone have 1 of these and how do you like your Fungi Perfecti Laminar flow hood, is it worth it, i dont wanna build one i tend to mess things up sometime so id rather just get it ready to go.

o and i also forgot to ask if anyone knows how many amps does this suck, wanna make sure it will work on my outlet before i buy

if you are stateside than I would imagine that it will work on any standard 15 amp outlet, if not than you can plug it into the outlet for the fridge or washing machine.
I am sure it works great but you should be able to build the exact same thing for 200$
That thing is small, its only a foot high and 2 feet wide. Not big enough for 1/2 gallon g2g and barely big enough for quart g2g. You would want to put a sheild on it on top to give yourself a biger working area. i belive the description says something about culturing whihc I would think would be mainly working with petris
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

It's the one I use. Very low current draw, less than three amps. Great flowhood. You can duct tape a furnace filter to the intake to extend the life of the HEPA filter. RR

i want to use itfor isolating cultures/ agar work, much more room than a glove box.
