Actives: Louisiana Gymnopilus junonius Panaeolus cyanescens Panaeolus subbalteatus Psilocybe caerulescens Psilocybe cubensis
Edibles: Too many to list. You may want to buy a book.
Season: You best bet right now for actives would be panaeolus subbalteatus. I do not believe any of the other actives in your area are in season.
Rules: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/2263556/an/0/page/0

Try a horse pasture or maybe even a riding stable.

-Also, are there any tips for me to train my eyes more to notice these little fellows? I tend to find that I can pass through an area several times without noticing individual, small mushrooms because they tend to blend into the foliage very well. I guess its just an acquired skill, huh?
the best thing you can do it go out there and start hunting for edibles , random mushrooms, wood lovers, grass lovers, dung lovers, and all the mushroom you can find the my best advise, that will not only traind your eyes but , your skill to how to id, diferent genus, species, shape, location, when you are searchig use the back and fort funtion you will surprise how many you left in a second obserbation , is just matter to train your eyes, is not a gifht or a natural instic, but for some people could be seem that way, it is real funny how we think good vission is base in good eyes well it help a lot i know , but the real concept is the mind, that´s the one that really ¨see¨ if you think about it, so the mind is train to see something more especifically than others, by repeatitly hunt mushrooms and more so fell this as a game you will make real new conection in you neurologyc make up that will aloud you to see more and more deep soom you will realise that you can see then even in the dark of the night, and you will not relate on a ligh flash or night vision. then you could try to close your eyes and see then but those are some advances lesson i don´t have access . maybe some one can teach here. all my best vibations.
