A Night of Visual Drunkeness with Abraham Lincoln
    #7863466 - 01/11/08 02:44 AM (16 years, 22 days ago)

Shredding the Magic into a bowl of fruity pebbles, I prepared myself for the wondrous journey that was to come. At around twenty pass eleven I popped a movie into the DVD player and waited for the shamanic journey to begin. Forty Minutes into the movie my friend Albert and I begin to giggle at the somewhat distorted images on the screen. We knew we were in the beginning stages of the trip!

I lied opposite of Albert and began to look around calmly. With my head rested on my shoulder I stared at my veins in awe. Realizing how seriously big they looked I begin to phreak! I stared and stared and notice that the "once" vein had turned into a beanstalk. WTF!!! I told Albert who was lying down meditatively on the bed staring around and he tells me to just relax and try to take it in. I think to myself, "how the heck am I suppose to relax when there is a beanstalk on my arm. I looked at the Nietzsche picture behind me and see that the color was different. I knew for sure the magic cereal was working. I finally managed to stop staring at the picture and the beanstalk and focused my attention at my salivating mouth. I put my finger in my mouth and touched it in confusion trying to understand the awkwardness of it all. It felt numb and kind of wet. It reminded me of dentist anesthesia. I shifted my attention to the ceiling and stared at what seemed to be a fish's beak. After staring at that for a while I noticed an even stranger image. It was an esophagus right below the beak. So, looking at the beanstalk on my arm and the fishopagus, I knew for sure I was tripping. I tell my mellow friend and he begins to laugh. I shifted my eyes back to the ceiling when out of nowhere I see a top hat, a grumpy old mans face, a button down shirt, semi long beard and circular glasses. I knew right away the man was Abraham Lincoln!!! After a couple of WTF's I pointed out Lincoln to Albert. We didn’t know what was weirder; that fact that there was a dead president on my ceiling or Abraham Lincoln wearing glasses. My friend tells me to calm down and I tell him; "how was I suppose to calm down when Abraham Lincoln was in my room!!?!?!" I don't know why after that, Lincoln seemed to have gotten upset with Albert. We laughed at the idea of Harriet Tubman being in the room with us as well. I suddenly got the urge to use the bathroom. My friend walks with me to the bathroom as I prepared to turn away I notice his big eyes. I felt as if I had been looking at him for the first time.

I'm in the room again, I say to myself we spend our entire lives with squinting eyes; until given a piece of "Magic" our eyes become fully open. I get hungry and look for food. I walk over to the microwave and turn it on. Realizing that there is nothing inside, my friend jumps and turns it off. He laughed at me! We were both laughing! I managed to heat something up and ate with a spoon, not wanting to use a fork in case I hurt myself. I notice how sloppy I was eating but I didn't care.

I go back to looking at the ceiling where there was then, a skeleton on skis right next to Abraham Lincoln. The Skeleton looked very funny to me as he shifted vaguely back and forth. I laughed again and Albert points out the hat on the statues head on my bookcase is shaped like a mushrooms cap. This has me laughing for a good 2 minutes. I looked back at the Nietzsche picture on my wall and notice it had turned burgundy. Or, perhaps it was always burgundy and I saw its true colors on shrooms. Two hours of visual drunkenness, Albert and I began an intense philosophical conversation. Beginning with nothingness, that turned to some thingness, to the many different “us’s” down to how quickly we fall back into the “society life”. Geez!

All in all my experience was pretty intense and I look forward to bringing back the “shamanic me” into that things called "society life".
