No mycelium, mycelium, partial mycelium, all in one

Why is it that if I inoculate say twelve half pint jars and plastic container things equally with 1 to 2 ccs of spores and toss them all into the same space that some do nothing, some do somthing and stop halfway, and others fully erupt with the white crystaline substance. Different spores and different substrate distributors, yes, but equally different growth within each sporetype/containertype. Why grow halfway then stop, when its bretheren goes full ball or nothing at all? Should I just keep the halfies in there til say next fall? Why would one spore of the same shit in the same substrate grow slower than the other twin?

maybe you screwed up the water content on some of your jars. some could have spots that are too dry or too wet, which inhibits growth.
I'm thinking it's your procedure rather than the spores
ps. did you remember to shake the syringe to distribute spores evenly?

I've got the same problem, I knocked my jars up almost 2 months ago and the mycelium is not fully colonized yet. I think the water content got fucked up when I made the substrate cause it was a lil sloppy when I filled the jars and on top of that, I fuckin didn't elevate my jars above the water in my PC and I could definitely tell water had seeped in. Do you think the cakes have any potential to fruit or should I should throw em out? I already started a new batch in the meantime and I did everything to specs so I hope shit will go well.

PF tek substrate should not be sloppy, it should be light and fluffy. My substrate actually looks dry when i load it into the jars. They still have that floury colour to them.
If they are that wet then i would have to say no. Its a waiste of time using cakes that are that wet. I have gotten away with slighty too moist pf teks, but that sounds water logged.

The chances are that or
A) Some of your jars contaminated and the mycelium couldn't take over the contaminated substrate
B) You pressed down some of the substrate too much, making it too compact and hard to colonize.
C) THe water content of some of the jars is off, either because you prepared them wrong or water got in during sterilization.

I agree with all of you. More than likely you got something 'off' in your procedures-If you follow the PF Tek to the letter and make no adjustments/substitutions, you shouldn't have any problems at all. The problems start when people say that they need this or that, but hey this should work too, so not right. PF jars are fun and virtually self sustained provided you have the right parameters-RH, FAE, and temp! get it right and you will be a-ok. Veer from the directions and you will fail(Not all the time, but more times than not).

Those jars are more than likely DONE for! Put a plate or something that wont burn or melt in the bottom of your PC and only add enough water to it to cover the bottom of the PC and just below the 1/2 way mark on your jars and you should be golden for at least 1-11/2 hour PC @ 15 psi-wait=there are so many variables in this to determine a set time/water level.Your oven may produce a higher heat, altitude(where you live has an effect on a PC) and your PC. So what I just said must be adjusted to your set-up.
Anyway,

That could be your problem-1 to 2 cc of liquid added to a 1/2 pint jar is too much for the jar to handle. If you add 2 cc's extra to the mix, when preparing your jars, it becomes a little too wet(THIS IS FROM MY EXPERIENCE ONLY)One cc is enough. You have 4 holes you should add 1/4 cc per hole, no more. I only add just enough to "see" the liquid leave the syringe, less than 1/4 cc. You only need one drop per hole to inoculate PF jars, but everyone always adds at least one cc. May be that is too much in your case, may be not.
