Giving a mate a helping hand

An old friend asked if there was any chance i could help assemble his new grow tents. In each tent will be a 600W HPS light with a 8 pot aeroponic system. Both an intake and out-take fan along with a carbon scrubber will be setup to help kill the smell
Day 1)

I will update this thread when any progress is made, i hope everyone likes what they see!

I would just use an outtake fan with the carbbon scrubber on the outside of the tent hooked up to the outtake fan . but if your friend starts to get a powerful smell I wold have him switch it around.

Wow I really want some tents like that, that looks so much cooler than the ridiculous amount of plastic wrap and mylar I usually end up using.

Thanks for the advice, i have tried that method before but unfortunately it was no where near as effective as having the carbon scrubber within the tent. When the tent is fully zipped up while the plants are into flower, the smell is hardly noticeable which is great!

If the scrubber is on the outside, the fan is pushing air through it, this is not effective. For an effective carbon scrubber, you want the fan to pull air through the scrubber. It's not like he is loosing any room having it in there anyway.

It's been a while since i got round to updating this thread so i thought i would keep everyone updated.
Me and my mate have been real LAZY recently and have not been making the effort to set-up the rest of the growroom. The main reason for this was because we kept getting stoned everytime i went round to his place and we would end up just watching TV . It taken a while but we decided the best idea would be to get everything setup and get high afterwards which has seemed to work out nicely so far!
We now have two grow tents with an 8 pot Amazon aeroponic setup ready to go. Each tent has a 600w HPS light along with intake and out-take fans hooked up to speed fan controllers. A carbon srubber is there to help kill the smell and we have all the nutrients ready to go.
A close friend has handed me 3 cuttings of ' The Church ' and 3 cuttings of ' Northern Lights ' which are currently under an aeroponic propogator to help build root mass before they can be placed into the tents. We put them into the propogator today under a fluro with a nice nutrient reading of 500PPM and a pH level of 6.9 so all seems well.
I will take some pictures tommorow so you can see how the cuttings are looking yourselves! Im pretty tired just now so im going to head to bed but i will update the page tommorow with some photos!

Day 2
I popped round my mates for a while to to check up on the cuttings.
The pH was a nice 5.9 and the nutrient levels gave a reading of 500PPM so all is well at the moment. The humidity levels were up to 95-100% in the dome thanks to a heater which has been set at 24c.

Going to add Dr Hornby Piranha to try and build up the rootmass tommorow while topping up the water.
Keep everyone posted tommorow!

Day 3
Everything is looking great. I had to top up the water levels and add both pH down and Sensi Grow Part A (nutrients). The roots are beginning to grow through the pots which is great news.

Here is a crappy picture to give you an idea of how the roots are looking at the moment.

If things keep progressing like they are at the moment then the cuttings should be in the tents within 10 days!

Day 6
I was amazed to see how many roots have grown since i last seen the cuttings. This propagator really seems to be doing the trick nicely!
The reservoir was changed today so i had to add both nutes and pH down to the fresh water. The low temperatures in the room were a concern for me and my mate so we decided to go out and buy ourselves a heater for the room which has helped rise the temp up considerably.
Unfortunately i never taken my camera along with me but i will make sure to take pictures the next time im round.
