How do you defend your sinning?

You're here, I assume you have used drugs most probably still do. So your a sinner, explain why you continue to sin. At least the sinners over on the bible chatrooms follow their own ludicrous ideas or at least fake it.

A good question...
Most Christians I know like to pick and choose what's really a sin and what isn't. Or else they will say "this sin isn't nearly as bad as this sin, so it's not that important." Another common excuse I hear is "everyone commits this sin" (again implying it's not that bad).
That's all a bunch of BS if you ask me.
The Bible makes no discriminations about which sin is worse than another. And if you believe the Bible is the word of God and hold it for truth, you can't just ignore certain parts of it that might mean you're going to hell if you don't repent and stop that particular sin.

I believe that Bible says it is a sin to not follow the laws of your land. Drugs are illegal, so if you do them you are a sinner.

Sins are for religious people. I do drugs because I believe they can be done responsibly and one has much to gain by exploring different areas of consciousness. I don't heed the laws because I think they are appallingly misdirected. I hurt nobody, and I know my limits. I think I not only have a reason, but a duty

Well that's your opinion, I don't believe in sinning, the Creator made the miracle of the shrooms for a reason (to give it a Christian connotation) and to refuse a gift from god is to refuse god him/her self. How about that! Question to you are you a tripper? Or you are a soul savior?

usually, i argue with evolving head on, but this time, i have to agree with him. what is a sin? and more importantly, what makes you think drugs are a sin? drugs affect your mind. that includes alcohol. alcohol is a drug, and it is condoned in the bible. so if you are basing "what a sin is" off of what the bible has to say, then how are drugs sinning according to that braa?

Simple - I don't consider my actions to be sins, even if other people will readily disagree. I live my life by my own set of morals/principles/whatever and I whole heartily believe that I do my absolute best to live sin free. ..... Now that's not to say that I feel I'm completely devoid of sin, only that I strive to be without sin and that I don't beat myself up if I let something slip (e.g. most of the time that I do sin it's little things like not being able to live up to a promise because something else came up that I couldn't get out of...but I never consiously do something I feel is wrong) So maybe that means my morals are completely askew. But if that's the case then so be it. I'd rather live my life the way I feel fit then constantly live in fear. I'm sorry but I don't see any justification in giving up free will just to prepare yourself for an eternal life. It's my belief that God wants us to experience all that life has to offer (both the good and the bad) and to learn as much as we can while we're here. I can't possibly imagine him as the sort of individual that wants mindless drones following him around. And I certainly don't think that anyone that's too afraid to sneeze is going to be welcomed by him come judgement day. But that's a whole nother topic.
BTW sir tripsalot - you have got to be the most old school stranger I've ever seen on these boards...lol

What if the law of the land was to turn in all non-jewish mid-eastern people to be executed? What if the law of the land was to not feed the homeless because it only encourages them? What if the law of the land is to abort all fetuses that would cause a family to have more than 2 children or to be a burden on society (mentally retarded, severe physical handicap)?

one more quick thing. it is a sin to disobey the laws of your country ONLY if they do not conflict the laws of God. and it is one of God's laws that we should use every seed bearing plant as we see fit. that means that anything with seeds or spores that is a drug, is okay by God's law. and america contradicts this by making this illegal. so it is my duty as a christain/rasta to wage a peaceful war on babylon.

i dont believe weed and shrooms are a sin. God said every plant that bears fruit or seed is for the use of man.I know i sin,all humans do. Life is a test to see where your go. We all make mistakes but God will forgive them if our heart and soul are good. Im drunk so i cant really articulate well.Being drunk is a sin i think.I dont know , i love the world though

I should have said it before. I thought it would be obvious that a person who doesnt believe in sin isn't gonna have much of an answer that I'm looking for. I'm directing this to religious people who "claim" to follow their chosen books words which say it is a sin to do drugs. I know Jehovas witnesses for sure arent supposed to do drugs, but am not totally familiar with the others books rules exactly. My point is that some people here who claim to be devout "whatevers" are hypocrits for stepping in the door in the first place. Remember CACA? Devout Muslim who talks of hell and all that Jazz and how we are all hellbound but hes on a drug website and does drugs. Just seems like the wrong place to hang out if you are following your own rules properly.

I truely believe there's no such thing as "Sin"
To believe in "Sin" one has to believe we have any responsibility for our actions. I think we merely exist & that all that happens is the Way of the Gods. We're just parts of the big machine & don't do anything "by ourselves": we're just doing what's unavoidable. This does not mean you're excused from engaging in living: just that if you don't, that THAT is God's Will. That's part of why my signature reads:

Paul wrote in the letter to one of the early churches, (paraphased) I am convinced by the Lord Jesus that nothing in and of itself is sinful.....he then goes on to explain how if my actions negatively affect another person and causes them to "stumble" then my action is a sin. Its not about an act, but how my actions affect another causing some harm to them.
When God lists "sins" and tells us to avoid them, He is not trying to spoil our fun. He's warning us about potential dangers.
Most people believe God is out to get everyone and is throwing around a bunch of "don't".......
I see God as saying, turn here, up this road the bridge is out. The only thing is that often, God only says "turn here" and leaves the rest of the statement off. I think He does this intensionally, because the "self-centered" person will scoff in defiance and say "How dare He tell me what to do!"
Only a teachable, trusting, servant will "get the message". Jesus said, "My sheep know my voice."

Only a teachable, trusting, servant will "get the message". Jesus said, "My sheep know my voice
As I have stated before. I am not a sheep. Sheep are only alive to feed and cloth their predators. BAAAHHHHHHHHH says the sheep, while I howl and say "dinner time". Any way on to the topic. I do not sin. I am my own sin According to your definition of sin; I was born of sin, I live in sin, and I enjoy every minute of it. And I am not making generalizations BUT most "christians"(be it baptists or catholics etc) have told me that one of the rules from the bible is to follow your own countries laws. If you use any illegal drugs then you are sinning. This is directed at any so called christians on this board who smoke dope take LSD or shrooms or coke or K or X or any other illegal substance. According to your rules YOU ARE SINNING. If you sin then you GO TO HELL, do not pass go do not collect 200 bucks. Of course I can not state names (you know who you are) because according to our brand new unfreedom of speech on this board some people may become offended by this. I have my own religion. The religion of ME. It is all about ME and My word. Any one who wants to join My church can just send some money and I'll tell you how to get to heaven. PrivateMessage ME and I'll give ya my PO Box so you can send money. I also accept gold jewels drugs and g'f/ wives services. But although the price sounds high, just think I can get you into heaven. Now if you can get into heaven after you die, isn't you money and your wife's pussy worth it???? Postalboy

Nothing gets to me these days, especially low life posting from those who are bored, UNFULFILLED human beings.
Actually I am not all that bored. my life of sin keeps me pretty happy. now the low life unfulfilled thing I really can't argue with. But I would rather be a low life than a HYPOCRITE. Isnt another of those rules, "Let no man judge lest he be judged." And you do an awful lot of judging. And in case you try to turn it around and say that I am judging you, I do not have to follow your little bible's rules because I am not a follower or "SHEEP" as you people like to call yourselves. So I am exempt. My law is "Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." And that is what I do. Postalboy
