Salvia shipping recovery

Greetings all-
I recently received a rooted salvia plant approx 15" tall with a dozen or so droopy leaves. It just finished a 3 day journey and I currently have it sitting in a shaded area at about 71 degrees, 50 percent humidity.
A search for recovering rooted plants dug up less than I hoped for.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

same rules apply for salvia divinorum as other sages, i can only assume.
try to make conditions as close to the ones in the article.
i dont know much about salvia but i would recommend potting it especially if you live in a harsher climate. find a good potting soil and keep it well-lit. if it gets too cold or too hot outside, move it onto a porch or indoors..
i'm sure someone is going to come behind me and make me look like an idiot, but that's what i would do.

I find salvia to be very resistant. It will look like its dyeing but its just adjusting.
Did it comes from a different climate? I have gotten a few and it seems to take a few days then alto of the leave fall off then a few days later new ones will come but they will totally different from the ones that fell off. Like it is trying to make the best leaves for the situation it has been stuck into.
If it droops for a month or two and loses alto of leaves its OK in my experience.

Keep it in a humidity tent. Your other factors are what they should be. Shade and room temperature will keep it form being shocked. A lot of people might jump to give it more heat and light because salvia usually likes that, but that will just shock the plant after a few days of darkness and other stressful conditions. The humidity tent might reduce the droop. I would let it stay in there fow about a week and then gradually acclimate it out. It's common to lose leaves when you switch conditions too, but you will grow now ones better suited to your conditions. If you are planning to repot, I always suggest waiting until the plant is established in your environment since that is just another source of stress on the plant. Good Luck!

I try and spray it with water as much as I can remember too for the first few weeks The plant and the inside of the tent. I Always put some of that anti-rot stuff on the stem too near the base and on the soil so all the water don't lead to mold.

Don't spray it. Misting is overrated and may actually be worse for your plant. Just keep it in the tent and it will get 100% humidity without so much water sitting on the leaves. I originally went into detail about all this, but I didn't see my post here. Perhaps I forgot to send it after the review. I'm too tired to repeat it all. But keep that puppy in a tent and air it out daily. Also, I want to add that leaves can droop of the plant has been used to very high humidity and is saturated. They will usually be more silky in texture if this is the case. That's totally fine though. They just need more gradual acclimation out of high humidity because they have been used to it for longer.
