Nothing quite like the strummin' of a blues guitar on a hot, summer night, with a tall, cool glass of lemonade.
... then the wife pokes her head out and reminds you to take out the trash.

In my career as a psychiatrist, I have not once encountered a patient whose problems were trivial.

Mr. Dethstone raised his eyes from the paper to the young man in front of him. The young man lowered his eyes from Mr. Dethstone to the man's gold nameplate. Or so he had been told it was gold, and whatever it was it cut an impressive light for the man it was named after. Mr. Dethstone he thought. What an incredibly awful name for an agent "Rate this piece I did?" "Yes." Mr. Dethstone narrowed his eyes. "Rate this piece I did." The young man was about to say yes again, but choked on his suddenly dry mouth. Still, the agent seemed to take the sound he made in the affirmative. "All the words save for rate aren't even capitalized," he murmured to himself, thumbing through it. "And what will this be about, Charles?" The way he said Charles reminded him of the way the school toughs used to say his name. "Well, it's about the creative writing process, and the main dude, ah, I mean protagonist, Kevin, goes around asking for critiques about his writing style. And along the way, he meets this chick, I mean woman, um, Lila, and she really is interested in his work unlike his girlfriend, who is sleeping with his boss at the corndog shack, so they run away and meet some hippies, and...acid...some drugs, fall in love," he could've said more, but Mr. Dethstone's eyes were nearly ugly black lines. "Charles," he said in a stern voice. "Charles, what have I told you?" The young man stared blankly back. He said something, oodles of things, things that had simply gone in through one ear and escaped out the other. He stole a glance at the man's obligatory family picture on his desk. His wife could have been attractive way back when, but she had the look of tired housewife, right down to the frumpy polka-dot dress. The sons were just a combined mess. The younger, Arthur, he though, was a pudgy fifth-grader that had chocolate stains on his T-shirt and...Michael? Well, where Michael was concerned, rumors had been afloat that the boy was flirting with the needle. "Today's audiences...they need something more, something enthralling. This," he grimaced,"story just won't cut it I'm afraid." "Wait, did you even-" "Do you listen to the Kinks, Charles?" "What? Well, sometimes, my favorite band is really-" "They made an album called Give The People What They Want." He let that sink

Johny was a poor little crippled lesbian child but he stood ten feet tall with a knife.
Edit: Much thanks to the master of nonsense (lyrically anyway, and in his time (is that enough qualifiers?)), Gibby Haynes. I give credit where credit is due.
