I need to find the perfect hat. (edit: got it!)

I've never really been a hat person but now I want one. It's gotta be something that can not make my hair look stupid, cause I've got big curly hair...and when I wear beanie-style hats, or knit caps, it sorta squeezes my hair down, and then out, so it looks real clownish.
I'm thinking of getting one of those hats you see rastas wearing because they're big enough to hold dreads. What do you call those hats anyway?
Here is a picture of my head so you can help me find a hat.

I'm the curly fella on the right. And yes, that is a Crankey sticker that we vandalized the subway with.
edit: ahhh
there we go:

There goes my mental image of what I thought you'd look like.
But a hat with that hair? No model I could think of would work, like you say it'll compress hair making the rest stand out diminishing both the look of the hair and the hat.
You don't have the hair for a hat methinks.

Me too. Anyway omar, you should look into some of the 59fifty lines of hats. I know what you're thinking, "That's for thugs and thug wannabe's". I hit up zumiez in the mall a month or so ago and found one that's perfect for me. They come in all styles, you should check some out. They're nice and big too. I hate tight hats.

Well tonight I was working in the coat check and someone checked one of the finest, softest, most beautiful hats I have ever seen in my life. I'll admit it - I snuck out of view for one moment and tried it on in front of a mirror. Sweet jesus, this is the hat for me. I'm about to look up prices and I think it's going to be quite expensive. It's a Borsalino brand fedora. And it was perfect.

heres my favorite hat.

Laska found it in a thrift store for like 2.50. She saw it and said to me, "Look at this." In a way that said, 'can you believe someone would wear this!'
soon as i saw it i was like, "Holy shit thats "
so i bought it and its my mushroom hat. Not only does it look like there is a mushroom on my head, but i spore print it with Psilocybe cyanescens and the "friscosas" so everywhere i go i spread psilocybe spore. Im like johnny mushroomspore

lolz - I am at essex all the time !- missed crankey. i plan on making the boxerface - and putting him all over downtown
I have huge puffy hair - but its almost the same thickness if yours. I'd say a rasta hat is good for the fall/spring. go to Fulton street in brooklyn to pick one up - dont get suckered and go into the city for one.
also - have you tried a plain bandanna? My old roomies who also had huge hair used to just make a triangle by folding in half one time - then tieing it on, held his hair back real good in the summer.
I dont know if a fedora will look good with a t-shirt and jeans. but hey - try it. have you ever tried a simple pony tail tie? just pull it back?

Fedoras are capable of making any goon look respectable if worn properly.
Though I will say they're often best coupled with very short hair. Hell my hair is too long for a fedora right now, and I'm still a fairly clean-cut looking SOB.

Yeah, the haircut mob needs to shush already. I've been growing this shit out for six years now and I love it. I've had like 4 trims in six years.

You need to stick to the facts and the fact is that Robot looks fly with his jewfro and I look good with my long hair. Well, actually those are opinions, but damn good ones if you ask me!
I'm just messing around, but seriously, we like our hair. It makes us happy, so what do we care what you think, random person?:)
