So, my 4th batch of using BRF/verm for my tek I thought I would add some Flax seed.
The recipe was cut out for (16) 1/2 pint jars, I don't have my notebook with me to give exact measurements. I put in about 1/2 cup of flax along with all the other ingredients.
organic.
PC'd for a good 75 minutes and knocked up with about 1.5-2cc's per jar in very sterile conditions. None survived. It's been over 2 weeks sitting with my other jars in temps ranging from 80-85F.
Strain is B+. My guess was using too much Flax...

didn't notice any slime. The ratio was about 12:1 of verm/BRF and Flax, I added it hoping for faster colonization rates, but instead, I ruined 16 jars

Okay, so guess what.
There is mycelium now growing in 4 out of the 9 jars. The mycelium is growing in very small isolated spots of mycelium that are almost perfectly circular. I wish I wasn't so damn lazy, I could get you guys some picture.
Seems weird to me, I'm thinking they're contaminated but keeping them for now just for the hell of it.
