Religious Creationists want it both ways

This is the primary red flag in any system of belief when no matter how the argument plays out it 'supports' one's position.
Let me explain:
Creationists will state that the temperature at which water melts and the earth's distance from the sun and the earth's speed of ration and cosmological constants of the four physical forces and so on are all too finely tuned and too perfect for humans to have not been crafted by a creator.
But God can do whatever the fuck he wants to, so why could he not have created human life with completely different constants, distances, temperatures, etc.? Is he a pathetic God that could REALLY only choose one group of constants from an infinite choice of combinations? If only one was possible then that is not truly creating, that is following a template.
Case closed. OC out.

There must be billions (maybe infinitely many) combinations of universal constants that all lead to some form of chemistry eventually leading to self-aware creatures.
That the universe happened upon one successful combination of these constants is a meaningless coincidence no more God-designed than the winner of an unlikely lottery was God-intended.

Indeed. And there are countless billions (if not more than billions) of other planets out there, all with their own distance from their respective sun. And that's not even counting moons. It's inevitable one of them, Earth, would meet the conditions necessary for life as we know it.
Of course, trying to talk sense into creationists is about as satisfying and as productive as trying to shatter brick walls with your cranium.

This also explains why the ratio of a circles circumference to diameter is a nice even number. God likes things to be nice and tidy.

Preaching to the choir, aren't you?
Are there any creationists in this forum? They haven't all been exiled/burned at the stake yet?

It was probably the result of a software package that was used to create a matrix on a 3 dimensional screen. The software suite probably had a name like "Create". Most people tend to use the templates in software so they don't have to worry about fine details. Our God was probably one of the uncreative types that was just trying to turn out a project as quickly as possible. There are probably really cool "universes" created by the hacker types that got into scripting heavy.

A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda
