Im ill, went to the hospital

well i went to the hospital the other day, i was having some odd abdominal pain that was gettin worse and worse over 3 days. i thought i might have finally shot my liver from drinking too much.
8 hours later i was back on the street, with no explanation for my pain aside from some swelling, and perscriptions for xanax, vicodin, and prednazone.
Despite this the pain is still there, and getting worse, in a few days ill probably make an appointment to go see another doctor....
in the mean time, i wont be around much, as im pretty out of it.
as for the pain, if anyone has had this happen to them i would be interested to know if anyone else has expierenced this pain. its below my right ribs and hurts when i lift things, move, sit, or otherwise put pressure in that small area.
according to the tests my liver and kidney function was fine.

vicodins never did much for me. I can't see how those things are so popular, I only feel decent around the 15-20mg mark and by that time I feel fucking nauseous and the acetaminophen makes me feel shitty.

Sounds like a pinched nerve, does your shoulder or neck hurt sometimes too? If so, go see a chiropractor.
Edit: Right side might be appendix, did the doc check for appendicitis?

Appendicitis possibly? There is nothing more unsettling than an undiagnosed problem. Get well soon.

Sounds more like a herniation than an issue with an organ, since the pain is related to effort, movement & pressure.

They would not have released you if you had appendicitis, and your symptoms do not sound like appendicitis, anyway.
What sort of tests did they run?

Go back to the doctor. Tell him or her how much you drink.

This truly does not sound like an alcohol-related issue, unless he was lifting cars while drunk.

If they gave you all of those types of drugs they must feel that it is a mood related issue. The street value on those things is pretty high. Sell them and just buy some acid or ecstasy...

Gall stones? The gall bladder is in that area and usually overlooked as source of pain. Check your family history
