Giuliani is a long way from being done. I think Huckabee has zero chance at the nomination. No money no brains and no balls, he shot his wad in a cornfield. He's a mule.

Bad time for me to be taking a swallow of water when I read your last two lines.

Zapps right. The early primary states are media spectacles. All delegate poor!! We'll have a truer idea of things AFTER super Tuesday February 5th, when 29 states all vote on the same day.

Even still, it's about delegates in the end. They are the ones who vote for the parties nominee.

On a side note zappa, Huck is going to gather a lot of new support in Florida, where Rudy has been planning his big first state win. There are more Christian fundies here then NY Jews. They seem to love Huck for his "pastoring" ways.......pun intended- (shot his wad in a cornfield:rofl2:)

Id like to see Obama vs. McCain but at this point the Obama/ Clinton race is too close to feel comfortable with

The Christian fundies threatened the GOP with going 3rd party if they nominated Rudy.

It was right after that threat, that Rudy started getting bad press, then little press and Huck became the overnight media sensation.

I'd be surprised if Rudy gets it now.

That right there is why I bother, to moisten computer screens everywhere. They need watering and most people don't know it. Just doing my part.

STAL. Too early to tell. All I'll say is if Hillary gets the nomination I'll be voting republican unless Romney gets the republican nomination which I don't think will happen. If Romney gets the nomination I'll vote democrat unless it's Hillary. If it comes down to Clinton vs Romney, I'll be writing in "none of the above." If Hillary or Mitt don't get the nominations I'll vote third party. I don't care who's the next president as long as it's not either of those two.

Rudy needs to make a comeback.

my dad has been predicting a McCain-Huckabee ticket for months!!!:glittershitz:

I’d rather have the Giuliani nightmare than the Huckabee or McCain one.

Given that Rudy has completely ignored two insignificant but for the timing states there is no "comeback" needed. Yet. I was always rather surprised that he led nationally. Huckanut is a flash in the pan. McCain is a strong contender, as is Romney. It remains to be seen whether Rudy's strategy will work since it was not designed to bear early fruit.

Huckenut is now the national leader in the latest rasmussen poll at 22%

Mit and McCain tied at 19%

Thompson at 12%

Rudy at 9%

They left Paul out

Looks like a comeback is needed for Rudy now.

I put a lot of weight in the early primary states because that is what history seems to spell out. Every president in the last 50 year came in first or second in Iowa except Bush the first. He came in 3rd. Clinton is not well liked outside of the east coast, and I would bet even money that Obama is going to win Cali. Obama might have a harder time in the south, but it is too early to tell.

I just hope Huckabee doesn't win because i gave 1.75:1 odds on him winning the primary, and I am going to be out a lot of money if he gets the nomination.

I do actually think that the best move for the Republicans would be to vote Ron Paul. He is the only one I am worried about against any of the democrat front runners.
