Does anyone have either one of these, or do u think it is worth buying one? the myco garden (blue one) is $120.00 after shipping and the smaller mycrogarden is $45.00 after shipping. Opinions?

Do NOT buy that shit..

Why? Because you can make a better one on your own for half the price.

if u got a lot of money to spend I guess? it could be convenient or something :S

id rather invest in a bag of perlite and go to a local gas station and ask for their empty 2L's and buy a book case at a thrift store or something...

well me and a friend where thinkin about buying the blue on and going halfs on it so like $60.00 each. it would be kinda conveniant like flavoraid said because it does all 3. or i could just stick to what i have which i still need to buy a couple more things for. i got a 50 gallon glass tank im thinking about using for FC. and for an incubator i was thinkin about just getting an aquarium heater like a submergable one with temp gage and two pastic containers.

They are just overpriced plastic buckets with air pump and heater.

A simple shotgun FC will do the job just aswell, and house more cakes/casings cost a fraction of the price. Even with an air pump you will still have to fan.

An incubator is not nessesary, room temperature is fine.

Save your money and use that for supplies.

do not , undr any circumstances , order from University Scientific .. they have nothing but bad reviews and are more or less a fraudulent site .. a month and a half after ordering 1 of those mycos .. i still had nothing sent .. and they have no working number or email ! im glad i never got it being as they are pretty much obsolete and just made simpler means to work with !

No matter what myco garden gadget gizmo you buy the mushies aren't gonna grow themselves lol. You might as well spend 50-60 total on supplies and you might have to spend 2-3 hours turning a plastic rubbermaid into a terrarium that like veda said will house a hell of alot more cakes. Room temp for incubating is okay or get a 99cent styrofoam cooler and that will keep them a little warmer.
